“We came looking for authentic Mexican barbacoa at Frida Farm Campestre, but due to some regulations they’re currently not serving food at the farm. Instead, the food is sold just around the corner at Birrieria & Micheladas and it was absolutely worth it.

The lamb barbacoa was very delicious, tasty, and perfectly moist. The goat birria tacos were also amazing and their fresh drinks are huge.

After eating, we went back to the farm for a tour, which made the whole experience even better. Visiting both locations was totally worth it and made for a great, unique outing.“

“I highly recommend this Café. I ordered to go as I’m leaving state after breakfast, but the girl that helped me carry my drinks out was super sweet. Not being from Texas I was curious about everything on the land and she was very informative (I should’ve gotten her name). I ordered the Sycamore 2s which was 2 pancakes (choice of 1/2 waffle or 2 slices French toast), 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon (choice of sausage also). I got my son an order of French toast, and a friend the brunch burger. Everything was AMAZING. The server mentioned Mondays they have a mimosa special (she told me exactly but I forget it). I like over medium eggs and this is the first place I’ve been that’s gotten my eggs PERFECT the first time around. It’s an adorable little café and there’s a wedding venue in the back. I highly recommend trying their food if you haven’t before. I took photos but it won’t let me add them to my review.“

Teresa is a gem and it’s worth the drive down by the bridge. Absolutely delicious and the burger is MASSIVE. $43 for two burger & fries meals, two bottled drinks, and an extra cheeseburger/fries to Pay It Forward for someone who needs it. “OUR ORDER WAS WRONG! If you read that please keep reading. We didn't receive part of our order and instead of calling DoorDash and asking for a refund, after trying the food we did receive, we decided we wanted our complete order because EVERYTHING was so good. we asked for them to just bring us our fries that we were missing and instead the manager said if you come get it we well just replace everything and I am one happy customer to get to eat them AMAZING food tomorrow! Its a little on the higher end for our eating out budget but it is WORTH EVERY PENNY!“

“My son and I ate breakfast here because there wasn’t anything walkable around here, unfortunately it looks like the hotel is on the wrong side of the interstate. My burrito was good but didn’t receive the guacamole it came with. His muffin was dry but ok. The prices were pretty high IMO. I’ll attach pics of what we had and the menu. They do have Starbucks coffee.“

We had an amazing experience thanks to our server, Emir! He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and very attentive to both me and my guest. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond, not just with us, but with everyone around him. I noticed him taking the time to talk with an older woman dining alone, making her feel comfortable and cared for. That level of genuine kindness is rare and truly appreciated.

If you’re ever in the Pasadena area and visit Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, I highly recommend sitting in Emir’s section, he was absolutely wonderful!“

“We love this restaurant. It’s been a Highlands staple for longer than I’ve been around. Portion sizes are awesome Carla and her crew are wonderful. Dad eats there quite often and don’t sleep on the fish special. The fish nuggets are amazing and the perfect way to enjoy this type of fish. :)“

“We went to Salt grass in Pasadena to get the Prime Rib. we were told by Alex that it's served only on Friday and Saturday night. we thought about leaving because my girlfriend wanted Prime rib.When Alex came back with our tea he said he talked to someone and got the Prime Rib approved. We ordered it and it was fantastic. Thank you Alex for going above and beyond for us. we are happy campers.“
