“Don't hesitate, just go here. I ordered the tacos to-go and they were generously stuffed and seasoned perfectly. But I have to give a special shout-out to their salsa. It's fresh, vibrant, and has the kind of flavor that makes you want to put it on everything. I'm already planning my next trip back and I'll be asking if I can buy a jar of that amazing salsa to take home. Excellent food!

“Shiver shack is THE spot for shaved ice. I have been coming here since I was a kid and now, 20 years later and with kids of my own, I bring them here. Shiver shack is like family at this point and the owner is so nice. Choices are endless, the shaved ice is fluffy and packed in well, and they are the absolute best when it comes to the amount of syrup used. You will never see any ice that didn’t get some flavor soaked in, as it should be. I would come year round if they were open. (Hot chocolate stand would be prettty sweeet if y’all are reading this shiver shack owners 🤩)
You will not regret this place. Cash or card is accepted and they have a drive through for those of us who are on the move or just wanna get ya ice and hit the house. Get the hot Cheetos covered in hot cheese sauce too, do it and don’t ask questions. Tigers blood is king of flavors, and shiver shack is king of shaved ice. ❤️“

“My kids and I always love getting boba, but recently we got ramen also and it was delicious!! We came in just before closing and Zachary let us order ramen with cheer despite the fact the prep would go well past closing. The ramen was prepared with care and pride and enjoyed immensely.“

“We were looking to try something new. La Mesa was pretty good. Lindsey is a great waitress and offered great recommendations. The food style reminded me a lot of Frijoles, but that's fine. The menu was smaller, but they offered all the staples. We split the enchilada trio with borracho beans. The beef enchilada in green sauce was our favorite. The atmosphere/dining experience was great. Love how spacious and comfortable everything is. 8 out of 10 Definitely will consider coming out here again next time we are in Joshua.“

“The entire staff here are so friendly! Today our great granddaughter turned 1 and they came out with a special made banana pudding and sang happy birthday to her. And I should note- we eat here every Sunday after church but today they also have her a birthday gift in a bag! Above and beyond!! Thank you so much- she’s only 1 but she had a blast!“
