Let’s just start with a terrible cut of meat but flavor was great. Then we proceeded to dessert. It was my birthday we had traveled from Houston area to meet with my daughter from Waco to celebrate together. My husband had specifically ask if it was ok to bring in a cake which was very small by the way. We were told no problem. Really taken back for an upscale place…. Cold and over cooked $100 dollar steak, dry aged to the freezer. Wife had steaks over cooked, they took it back and we waited over 45mins for a recook, they only had 5 tables sat at 1pm. Not pleased with the service. Wag county fired steak was a chuy mess on my kid, he wouldn’t eat it after 2 bites. The bar tender was a nice guy… out side of that the waitress had no clue what was going on around her.
On December 14, 2024, I hosted our annual Christmas dinner at The Porters with a group of retired veterans and their families. While the food was excellent and the servers did a fantastic job, the behavior of the General Manager, Jeralyn Bunting, was incredibly unprofessional and left us feeling disrespected.
