This Schlotksky in particular has an incredible manager and the friendliest wait staff.
Good food
I’ve been a Schlotsky’s fan ever since the 1970s when the only Schlotsky’s was the one in Austin, Texas on South Congress Avenue. This location in College Station near the A&M campus appears to be pretty new.
You don’t go to Schlotsky’s for the service. It’s a fast food model. You order at the counter and you take a seat. At least they bring your sandwich to your table when it is ready.

Schlotzsky's Deli in College Station, near the A&M campus, is a clean and new location. Customers describe it as a fast food model where you order at the counter and take a seat, and they bring your sandwich to your table when it is ready. The staff are super friendly, efficient, and service is quick. The sandwiches are fresh, tasty, and better than at other locations. The Original sandwich is a masterpiece with signature sourdough bread, perfectly toasted, cradling a delicious mix of meats, cheeses, and their tangy olive spread. It has plenty of meat, toppings, and extra mustard. The cheese is phenomenal. The number 1 medium is good and will fill you up. This is a perfect spot for a quick bite on University Drive.
