“Great service! My friend and I saw the cafe while driving and figured we’d pop in to see what it was like. The owner, Tom, had assisted with making sure we got taken care of even though we had a time crunch. Within seconds our waitress had taken our order and shortly thereafter our food was ready. Definitely a great spot to check out in the Greater Houston area and specifically Conroe if you’re wanting a wonderful start to your morning!“

Even though it was pretty busy, I was treated like the most important customer in her section. Phillip (I think) was managing that day and he came by to ask how everything was. “Another fantastic meal at Angie’s! From the generous serving of tasty fajitas- beef and chicken . this restaurant surpasses all the popular Mexican restaurants around. Their salsas are amazing- green and red . Their baracho beans are very good as their rice great too. I usually don’t eat the rice but their rice is yummy. I can’t recommend this restaurant more. The staff was great with suggestions and samples based on your taste. The location is a bit off the main road, but certainly look for it. We aren't local but we definitely will be back if we are in the area.“

“Had dinner with friends here a few weeks ago and want to go back asap! We tried a variety of appetizers, the boiled shrimp were small but tasty, egg rolls and oysters were very good. My dinner shrimp were large, fresh, and fried to perfection. Fries and onion rings were excellent, coleslaw was crisp and creamy - just right. Fellow diners loved their meal choices as well. I'm looking forward to trying the grilled fish next visit. Service was good, everyone was polite and friendly. Lots of menu choices. Affordable prices.“

“This place is so packed. Like crazy packed. But the staff operates beautifully. They are all Running around so fast. So many of them. Always watching out for the crowd of people. I don’t go to places like this often because it’s just too many people for me. But this was a nice trip. Sunny was our server. I must have asked for more time 4 times. 🙌🏼🤣 He was so nice and patient. “We visited Whistle Stop Cafe for the first time on Sunday. 8/24/25. I’ve heard of it but never found myself in the immediate area. It wasn’t super busy at the time we visited. We had a couple of orders of chicken strips and gravy with fries and a Patty Melt with fries. We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer. I’d give all the food a solid 10 ⭐️ No complaints for anyone at the table and after we were full, we still needed To Go Boxes to take the rest home. The Fried Green Tomatoes were the best I’ve had in many years. Our waitress was nice and kept our drinks full and asked if we needed anything along the way. She was very accommodating. Id definitely visit again.“
