“Great service! My friend and I saw the cafe while driving and figured we’d pop in to see what it was like. The owner, Tom, had assisted with making sure we got taken care of even though we had a time crunch. Within seconds our waitress had taken our order and shortly thereafter our food was ready. Definitely a great spot to check out in the Greater Houston area and specifically Conroe if you’re wanting a wonderful start to your morning!“

Even though it was pretty busy, I was treated like the most important customer in her section. Phillip (I think) was managing that day and he came by to ask how everything was. “HEY everyone I would like to say this place is warm this was my first coming here and the was professional and welcoming as some know how I work I always check the bathrooms and it was clean and it's smells nice also the food was 10 out of 10 so good i had the pool pork sandwich and my husband had the. “We were there for Thursday and Friday night game activities. We had a great time. We tried a number of beers as they had a large selection, something for everyone! The staff was great with suggestions and samples based on your taste. The location is a bit off the main road, but certainly look for it. We aren't local but we definitely will be back if we are in the area.“

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience. My favorite dish is the Galbi (short rib) and the close second is the spicy pork(not too spicy). The staff is so friendly and patient. You write your order on a little ticker and take it up front to order.

We’ll definitely be back again and hopefully for lunch this time.“

“My wife and I live in Fort Worth and were recently visiting the Conroe area. We were joined by her sister & niece from the Chicago area.
I was dying for some fried shrimp, but she wanted Thai food, pad Thai in particular. How to solve that? Well...look no further!
We arrived not long before closing, but we weren't rushed at all. The waitress was very patient, explaining lots of options, especially to my niece, who's 14.
Well, I got my shrimp, all right, and they were huge and perfectly cooked, with a delicious breading -- light and crispy. Yum. My wife's pad Thai made her very happy.
Overall, everyone was very happy.
The atmosphere is very casual, just what I wanted. The restaurant was very clean.
Prices were a real bargain, considering portion size and quality.
Really a great little place.
I would come back here anytime. I was hoping to drop by again before we returned home, but we ran out of time.

“We visited Whistle Stop Cafe for the first time on Sunday. 8/24/25. I’ve heard of it but never found myself in the immediate area. It wasn’t super busy at the time we visited. We had a couple of orders of chicken strips and gravy with fries and a Patty Melt with fries. We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer. I’d give all the food a solid 10 ⭐️ No complaints for anyone at the table and after we were full, we still needed To Go Boxes to take the rest home. The Fried Green Tomatoes were the best I’ve had in many years. Our waitress was nice and kept our drinks full and asked if we needed anything along the way. She was very accommodating. Id definitely visit again.“

The steak has a slight, unique crisp to it, very good and tasty. This time my wife had the sesame chicken and she said it was very good. The egg foo yung is also very good.
