I’ve been told for YEARS how good the food is but we never went because converse was too far out of the way for me! We ended up going today to the new location here at Pat Booker and let me say! I truly wish I would’ve went sooner! We both ordered the catfish plate with shrimp and fries, opted for hush puppies instead of slaw and I opted to get the green beans instead of slaw! I have driven by this seafood place a couple times and wanted to try it for a while and I am glad I did! It’s a little hidden gem and I overheard there location moved. The shrimp and catfish was delicious - I got the catfish sample and a 1/2 sweet tea and unsweet. Oh! And their coleslaw was really delicious, too! Light mayo dressing with slaw - Yum! New location! Seafood done well is the attraction. I had the catfish and shrimp special. My wife had seafood gumbo. My friends had shrimp po-boys. The portions were generous for the price. All were tasty. We all had fried entrees. I'll have to try broiled next time and look for healthier options, but an occasional splurge is okay, right?
