“This place was near our hotel, and we wanted some soup to end our day. The restaurant is located in a sketchy area by some apartments and inside a market-style setup. I ordered the chicken khao poon. While the flavor was good, I really wish they offered the vegetables on the side instead of mixing them into the bowl. I didn’t like the taste of the bean sprouts and purple cabbage. It would be much better served separately.

Their sticky rice was also given in a syrofoam to-go container instead of the traditional Lao rice container (thip khao), which keeps the rice warmer and adds to the authentic dine-in experience.

Coming from a health department background (although not in this city), I was very turned off seeing staff wearing sandals while taking orders and serving food. They should know this is not up to health code and could easily be reported.

Customer service was non-existent. No one checked in on us, and we were short on napkins the entire time. The Thai iced tea was also way too sweet because of the heavy condensed milk.

Overall, the food was decent, but the presentation, environment, and lack of basic health standards were disappointing.“

“My family of 5 have been ordering from here for years. This is a restaurant where all 3 of my picky children can find something and not complain. My teen loves all their sushi and tries something new every time we go. My 8 year old son gets the salmon and has proclaimed it’s “the best salmon ever” every time. You get 2 fillets which is a huge portion! He even picked it for his family birthday dinner. I love their shaken fillet and chicken which is basically the hibachi. The portions are giant! My husband randomly DoorDash’s their chicken friend rice he likes it so much. It is pricey but well worth it for the amount of food. The atmosphere is really nice and would be a great place for a date night or to take work clients. The owners are wonderful! Highly recommended giving it a try!“

“A fine Asian dining experience near I35 and 121 business! I told them medium spicy and they delivered! Delicious! When I eat at Panda I need to eat the black peppers to get a sufficient level of spicy. This place, not so. This place is 1000% better than Panda. A slightly humble atmosphere but quiet and clean. I tried the teriyaki sample and it was amazing, but I got the orange chicken and noodles with veggies. My wife and I both compared it to Panda Express, but she thought it was better than Panda Express and I’m inclined to agree. “I ordered chicken, rice, and dumplings and 2 drinks for delivery. my order was delivered in a timely manner but the kindest man with the warmest smile. he delivered my food but forgot my drinks! i did not mind at all about the drinks as humans make mistakes but my driver took time out of his day to come back and deliver my drinks without me having to call or complain! It was really sweet. I will always order here“
