Cafe is Behind sale barn. Sale is on Tuesdays, so it would be crowded. Closed Saturdays. Accepts credit cards.”

“The restaurant has changed alot since initially opening. It's a bit disconcerting to develop favorites only to return later and the item is no longer on the menu. Seafood was decent. However the etoufee, while expensive, was taste wise top notch. The internal layout of tables is not the best. The dining room feels cramped. There are no booths. Service was friendly and attentive.”

“This is an awesome place to stay! We are here for 2 months and could not be more pleases. The campsites are great and the management and staff are great, especially Sharon at the desk and office/ store. They have a great ice cream shop and fantastic pizza as well. Lake view is great and awesome sunsets! You can't go wrong making this one of you camping/rv destinations!”

“We are NOT big BBQ people, but Mimsy's is amazing!! From the pork ribs, to pork chop that is so big, cooked to perfection, you can't HELP but take it all!! The Sprouts are our favorite, OMG they are the best we EVER tasted!! Everything we tasted made us not just full, but lusting for more! This place is a Texas BBQ oasis! And we are damn LUCKY to live in Crockett where we can go anytime we want!”

“I was one of 3 older ladies returning from a high school reunion in Southeast Texas traveling back to the Dallas area. We got a late start and postponed breakfast, but time passed, and it was nearing the noon hour. We checked on-line and found this little gem of a country restaurant. We called ahead and found that they served breakfasts all day. We took a hop over from 287 and were so glad we did. The breakfast was wonderful! The ambiance was very "down home" but all that mattered to us was the food. We all got the Big Country Breakfast and ate every bite! We had a sweet little waitress named Cheyenne who joined us (in between serving other guests) for a discussion full of laughs. Service was GREAT! Just before leaving we noticed the home-made pies in a glass case. We all decided to get a take-out slice of the coconut cream for later. We all ate a bite before leaving and it was oh so yummy! Just like my Mamma used to make. We will definitely be returning if ever we are passing that way again. ALL GOOD!”

“The owners are beyond kind and honest. And they have great things for sale!! I fell in love with a coffee table and they told me up front there was a small ding in the glass. You don't find that kind of honesty these days so I have a lot of respect for them. I bought it and several other things which they delivered and even carried inside for me! Batts Resale is head and shoulders above your average resale shop and the owners really go out of their way to help, show kindness, be fair, and make you not only happy about what you buy but, happy to have done business there! Five stars and highly recommended!!

“I took a chance because I literally said to myself that I have eaten at about the same looking spots in RGV / Nuevo Progresso.Man, glad I did, nice people and amazing food, beef taco was bistec/ fajita style, homemade flour tortilla, mini tacos were on point as well as the salsa roja, would eat here everyday if this was my town.”

“Almost missed it driving by. Great small town restaurant. Service was excellent, very attentive. We ordered the fried Gator, suggest to add additional seasoning. Catfish, stuffed crab, oysters, scallops and fried rice. The food was delicious and worth every penny. We will be coming back.”
