“Gourdoughs is not only a MUST VISIT for out of towners, but totally can be a weekly regular spot, because of not only how delicious they are, but the vast varieties they have to cure that savory, sweet or "coffee" tooth! They seriously have some of the most decadent delicious treats out there!! I know for some of you indulging in donuts like this isn't always a regular thing, but they now offer MINI versions of the massive donuts you're already a fan of, which allows you to feel more "responsible" eating them AND allows you to try all the different varieties they have and of course justifies more regular visits hehe! PLUS they offer coffee and a couple savory items like their breakfast sandwich and Ron burgundy burger (super juicy, delicious with a quality angus patty), along with their mother clucker (fried chicken and donut) which is some of the BEST fried chicken out there!! The have conditioned their food truck spot to be super inviting with tables, umbrellas and "instaworthy" signage! It had been YEARS since we visited Gourdough's and are kicking ourselves in the butt that it had been so long! Don't let that be you! If you have never been or its been a minute, we HIGHLY encourage you to check them out again and try some of their new offerings or enjoy something you haven't had in a minute! Gourdoughs you rock and can't thank you enough sharing your calorie worthy donuts with Austin!“

“This place has delicious donuts, kolaches, and breakfast sandwhiches. I just ate the croissant bacon, egg, and chesse sandwhich. It hit the spot. A student brought me some kolaches a couple of years ago. I had to ak her where she got them from and have been buying their kolaches since then. Their donuts are awesome. Their cinnamon twist is delicious and filling. The man working the counter is cool to talk to. He lets you know what their latest creation is because there's usually something new to try. I used to go to Shipley's (for their skimpy kolaches) which is right across the street from me, but I drive the extra miles to go to Donuts 4 U.“

“I experienced their donuts at a Lunar New Year event at Flow Yoga. I’m not usually a donut fan, but gave these a try. They are denser than typical, much closer to the ones my mom used to make. The flavors were so good! I got the tea infused one, the black sesame seed one, the yuzu and the mandarin. They were all delicious! If you need a new donut assortment for your next gathering, get these. Everyone will find something to please them, you’ll support a small business, and you’ll get major brownie points for creativity! Photo is post sampling 🤭“

“This shop has green tea–glazed donuts! I’ve been searching for them for a while, and they’re amazing. Highly recommended if you’ve been looking for them too or just want to try something new.
The girl at the front register was super nice and friendly, and the extra donut holes were a great touch.
The sausage kolaches were soft and flavorful. The portion size was just right—not too small, not too big—and the price was reasonable for what you get.
Don’t forget to try their apple fritter!“

“I think this is my new favorite donut shop ✨ We went around 11:30am on a Saturday, and luckily there were still plenty of kolaches and donut options available. Here’s what we got...
We ordered a small sausage and cheese kolache and a large sausage and jalapeño kolache, heated up, and they were perfect. They also have croissant kolaches which I’m very interested in trying in the future.
I wanted to try the glazed donuts as a baseline… and it was incredible. Pillowy soft and delicious. One of the best glazed donuts I’ve ever had. I’m sure the donut holes are incredible.
I always have to get a sprinkle donut, so we got a chocolate with sprinkles and a white with sprinkles. They were both great, but I would definitely get the white sprinkle donut next time.
Lastly my partner ordered a lemon filled donut, and he loved it.“

“Your friendly neighborhood donut shop. The owners are very kind and their donuts and kolaches are always fresh and delicious.
You don’t go to Fresh Donuts on Thaxton Road because you’re looking for a theme or lofty notions of challenging what exactly a donut shop can be. You’re not there to pay premium prices for half-baked (or half-fried) vessels to deliver some novel topping or flavor with dubious execution. No, you’re likely there because you’re in the area and your options are limited.
This is not an indictment against the quality to be found at this humble shop nor a cynical jeer at the dedication that’s at work here. Fresh Donuts deals in the Platonic idea of the donut and they do it remarkably well. The evidence is in the balance of velvety airiness and crispy sweetness in every bite of a classic plain glazed; the captivating ratio of cinnamon to sugar on a cinnamon twist that is never cloying or bland. When the thing you make lines up cleanly with the archetype, anything else becomes a diversion. Sharks have changed relatively little even after millions of years.
While many shops are content to serve glorified pigs-in-a-blanket, Fresh Donuts make their version of Texas kolaches adorned in a soft golden brown bread that melts in your mouth. That same kolache bread, along with croissants, is used to make simple but satisfying breakfast sandwiches as well.
Taste is subjective, often stubborn, sometimes fickle. So don’t just take my word for it. Ask any of the locals and passers-by who frequent the establishment and help make Fresh Donuts an integral locus point of the community. One only needs to leisurely nurse an apple fritter at a corner table to witness the mutual connection between the steady parade of customers and the beautiful couple behind the counter.
This is why you’re there.“

“One of the best cheese danishes I have had and I've had many because I love them so much. The pastry itself and the cream along with the fruit topping is perfect. I think what makes a really good Danish is the actual dough being used and this dough is buttery and flakey. Great breakfast sandwiches as well. Inexpensive yet quality food.. you just can't beat that.“

“If you live in Manor and like donuts, there is no reason not to patron this place. "Don't go for the chains, help local people thrive!" Is my mindset here.
They have good donuts people. Try them! I take my two tots there every Saturday morning and I'm happy to create this small town memory with them. ? ? ? ❤️ ? ?
(Their coffee leaves something to be desired. Maybe if they started making cold brew and offering cold creamer, that'd be even better ? ? ? )“

“If you have the sugar cravings of a pre-diabetic then this is your spot. We’ve had numerous donuts from here from the glazed to chocolate glazed to, well, you get the point. All the donuts are always perfect in texture and packed with toppings and flavor. It’s definitely a great specialty donut spot. We got them delivered and they were still very fresh when they arrived. The only knock I would say is how messy they can be, but hey, they’re donuts. We’ve been to both locations but we’re specifically rating the Burnet Road location on delivery. The 6th Street location is just as good, but very very busy as you can imagine since it’s on 6th. If you’re on Burnet Road or 6th Street definitely give this place a try, it’s a great way to eat yourself into morbid obesity.“

“We came here to visit since it’s listed as one of the highlights of the downtown area.
We weren’t disappointed, but definitely underwhelmed! The coffee is good, but it is severely overpriced and the building/surrounding outdoor spots are really gross and messy. Public bathrooms are available but they are more gross than a gas station.
Would recommend another coffee shop if you come to visit, only thing worth seeing is the famous “I love you so much” wall.“

“Some total loser driving a cyber truck came in and threw an absolute toddler size fit that he needed a code to use the bathroom. The lady behind the counter handled it so gracefully and beautifully and put this dude in his place. This is the only place I will buy donuts now“
