Had my first taste of cognac as well as some brandy. It was amazing all the taste that were coming through I'm just a simple sip. Looking forward to taking the tour next time I visit the area. Plan on putting some money aside to purchase some to take home.
If you’re ever in Dennison, TX (75ish miles north of Dallas) you MUST go visit the Likarish family at Ironroot Distillery! A great little tour led by Robert (Son) and tasting led by Marcia (Mom). Where else are you going to get a tour led by the people who run the distillery? And a 10 minute explanation of the corn they use…nerdy and love it! This is a phenomenal distillery. I have tried many of their products from Harbinger, Grayson collaboration, to their latest Winter Soltice bottling. I can simply say, I havent found a product I didn't like. I have visited the distillery on several occasions and they are always friendly, educational, and accomadating. To put it simply, I love Ironroot Republic whiskey. My favorite brand hands down.
