940s Kitchen and Cocktails Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’ve been longtime fans of 940’s—back when the hummus and veggie plate had us in a full-on emotional relationship. 💁♀️ Yes, we were a little heartbroken when the menu changed, but we never fault a place for growing and evolving.
That said, we had stopped coming for a bit because, honestly… the service just hadn’t been it. The food was always great, but the vibe wasn’t. We took a break. We missed it.

940s Kitchen and Cocktails offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, especially when it's not busy. The decor has a nice dark feel, creating a fancy vibe. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience enjoyable. Guests appreciate the lowkey, relaxed environment for casual lunches or date nights. The restaurant is known for its on tap drinks, with favorites like the Old Fashioned and Bloody Mary, which sometimes come with bonus treats like bacon. The happy hour prices are considered great, offering good deals without sacrificing quality.
Food-wise, opinions are mixed. Some dishes, like the Caesar salad with salmon, are highly praised, with one reviewer calling it a healing meal. The French 75, especially with strawberry flavoring, is recommended. Appetizers such as fried eggplant and a Roast Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwich with tomato basil soup are also enjoyed. However, some meals fall short of expectations, like the French dip, which was served as a hoagie with pot roast, and the spicy Bloody Mary, which tasted like straight tomato juice. The food can be described as consistently meh, especially considering the prices.
Service generally receives positive comments, though there have been occasional delays, such as waiting to order drinks. Notably, brunch has been discontinued, possibly due to tough times. Overall, 940s Kitchen and Cocktails is a good spot for drinks and casual dining, with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff, perfect for a relaxed outing.
