“My family stopped here for a burger when passing through Denton, and man am I glad we did! Food was delicious. Burgers were juicy and flavorful, fries were crispy, even the fountain coke hit the spot. Jaden was our waiter, and he was a gem - enthusiastic, cheerful, and kind the kiddos. “My quandary: give Hannah’s the rave review it deserves and risk not being able to get a table on a Saturday night or just pretend we never made it to dinner? Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. “Such a wonderful welcome, from the moment we walked in. We were given some food recommendations, after asking if it was our first visit. The food was amazing! I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband had the Turkey sandwich. So scrumptious! Our server, Kaylie was so sweet and efficient! Another gentleman, Mohit, (I hope I spelled his name right) came by to see how we were doing. We had such a wonderful conversation with him, I felt like I was eating with friends! But, in my perfect world, the tasty brisket would be just a bit more tender...maybe a little more fatty, with the mouth feel I have grown to love...returning June '24, I can say the grilled cheese w pulled pork has been great, but today was a fairly greasy unweildy sandwich (not cut in halves, hard to eat while driving!). Drinks are over-priced ($3.29), unisex bathroom usually dirty with a greasy, dangerously slippery floor. If it weren't for the very nice people working there, I might bypass in the future.“

“I ordered the quarter white with mac n cheese and Mexican rice. Food comes out hot and fresh always. Tender chicken, just the right amount of cheese, and the corn is sweet with a mild amount of heat. So good!

“Took my dad there for his first visit. Food was good and tasty however, his salmon was a bit overcooked and a lil dry bit he liked it nonetheless. Service was good and it was sweet to take a couple complimentary croissants home. They make for a sweetl delicious treat. Don't forget to tip your servers. Now, go get your grub on.“

“Last night they did more than great attending our group of almost 30 people without reservation and coming from another restaurant with bad attitude/service.
A warm welcome, kindness, patience and respect were the first things we received from the waiter, cashier/host, etc.
The cook deserves an ovation: the food was delicious for all of us.
The environment is fun, some of us even play games around. Music allowed us to chat. Perfect A/C for a hot night. Clean restrooms…

“Dickey’s Barbecue Pit on I-35E in Denton is hands down one of the best barbecue spots around! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their brisket is tender and juicy with just the right amount of smokiness, and the ribs fall right off the bone. The sides are just as good—mac & cheese, baked potato casserole, and fried okra are absolute must-haves.
