The food was wonderful, and our waiter Jose did an excellent job checking on us but not becoming annoying by constantly asking if we needed anything. We sat near the bar which was a tad noisy, but the booth we were seated in was uncomfortable and better suited for larger people b/c the table is too far away from the seats. And our table had an uneven wood surface as we cut into our food. Lastly, the $2.50 discount for Police/Fire/Vets should be a little more ... say 15%. Otherwise, it was an outstanding dining experience.“

“My quandary: give Hannah’s the rave review it deserves and risk not being able to get a table on a Saturday night or just pretend we never made it to dinner? Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. “Lunch was so yummy and the server, Kevin, was such a delight that we returned to eat dinner the same night and requested he be our server. The menu is expansive and surely anyone can find something to suit their tastes. We both had protein bowls for lunch and the filets for dinner. The protein bowls were so flavorful we didn’t feel like we were eating a healthy meal option. The waffle fries with gringo cheese dip, the macaroni and cheese side dish, and the summer salad are must tries. Everything tasted fresh and homemade including the salad dressing. Nothing was cold, stale or past its eating prime. In brief, eating at 54th Street was a culinary experience and the prices were absolutely reasonable. When in the area again we will definitely eat here again!“
