And our table had an uneven wood surface as we cut into our food. Lastly, the $2.50 discount for Police/Fire/Vets should be a little more ... say 15%. Otherwise, it was an outstanding dining experience.“

The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, perfect for a weekend meal. We did have an extended wait (they were out of biscuits 😅), but I have to give major credit to the management and wait staff. They handled it extremely well and even offered a discount for the inconvenience. Truly phenomenal service, they turned the situation around and made us feel taken care of. We tried the Bacon Board, which has a fun concept but could use a little more creativity. Just maple syrup on bacon didn’t quite hit the mark, but with a little flair this could easily be their signature appetizer. Now the entrées were exceptional. ✔️ My wife’s Southern Benny was flavorful and perfectly executed. ✔️ I had the grilled cheese with a hearty tomato soup and fries and let me just say, those fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. I had salmon on arugula with olives and tomatoes. It was great. The charred lemon on top was a really good move. The arugula could use a little more dressing, just something to tie it together a tiny bit better, but that's a minor thing. My husband got something like a cowboy burger and enjoyed every single bite. It looked delicious. Fries were kind of mediocre, not the best I've had, not the worst either. Everything else though was delicious.
Service was impeccable. The ladies serving us were way above average. Very nice, and I didn't get the impression they were doing it just for the tip. It genuinely seemed like they enjoyed what they were doing. Could be wrong, but that's how it came across.

We were sitting outside and there were flies everywhere. That is the only real complaint I have. They were relentless. It is very hard to eat when flies are trying to eat with you, and I don't find it very hygienic when a fly lands on your food if it doesn't have to. Also worth knowing, the place is right on the direct approach to one of the airport runways, so you will see planes coming in constantly. Great for spotting planes, not great if you need quiet.
But other than the flies, everything was impeccable. Would go back.

“My quandary: give Hannah’s the rave review it deserves and risk not being able to get a table on a Saturday night or just pretend we never made it to dinner? Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. Thank you to the kitchen staff and everyone in the front of the house and remember to save us a table on Saturday nights. See you soon.“
