“The staff at Great American Cookies (1400 Shoal Creek #110) delivered delicious cookies and turned a lost bet into pure comedy gold! My brother Mitch sashayed in, looking like a Cookie Fairy. A bearded man decked out in a frilly pink tutu, a flamboyant feather boa, and tights! They had him prancing across the street like a giddy flamingo, twirling with exaggerated flair, striking absurd poses, and even curtseying with a flourish!

Mitch threw himself into the silliness, pointing his toes with dainty precision and strutting with a sway that left us all wondering if he was secretly loving his bearded ballerina gig a little too much—way too comfortable in that embarrassing getup! The staff roared with laughter over his spot-on toe point, eagerly asking if he’d return again, and posting those hilarious pics online to flaunt their fun-loving store spirit.

And let’s not forget the actual cookies, because they’re the reason we’d come back again. These treats are next-level: soft, gooey, and baked fresh on the spot. Everything was packaged beautifully, stayed fresh for the delivery Mitch had to make (still in that tutu, bless him), and tasted like heaven. Prices are great, and the store’s spotless, with the staff’s infectious humor keeping the vibe pure sugary fun. Five stars for the amazing treats and for helping with our pink princess!

“Run, don’t walk, to Motor City Pizza. We ended up here by accident last weekend, after the restaurant we were going to was unexpectedly closed. This was the next closest non chain pizza place we could find so we decided to give it a try and we were SO glad we did. We sat at the bar. The bartender (I think his name was Brad) was friendly and personable and made some fabulous menu suggestions. We started with the potato chip chicken strips. They were fantastic. The seasoning in the batter was spot on, and they were piping hot and perfectly crispy. I ordered the Maurice salad, something I had never heard of. It was a very busy salad, lots of different flavors going on, but I am here to tell you it was one of the best salads I have ever had in my life. I am already trying to figure out when I can go back and order it again. Hubs got pizza, half Texas sweet heat and half mobster. Definitely one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, you could tell they use top notch ingredients. It’s rare we have such a great experience entirely “by accident”. We can’t wait to go back! Maybe next time I’ll remember to get pictures :)“

The vibe is welcoming and the beer selection was solid—something for everyone—and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. That said, it was hot inside. Even just sitting and chatting, we were uncomfortably warm, which made it hard to fully relax and enjoy the experience. I’m not sure if it was a one-off issue or just how the space handles summer weather, but some fans or improved airflow would make a big difference. Still, I’d definitely give it another try—hopefully on a cooler day!“

“This was my first time at JINYA and it was such a great experience. Sol greeted and sat us immediately. She gave great recommendations. We had to order the pork gyoza based her recommendation. It was so good! We also tried the shrimp wanton ramen and the tonkotsu original ramen and both were amazing. Sol always stayed on top of what we needed before we knew we needed it. “I have been drinking boba for the better part of 20 years, and I have tried dozens of places. I expected a standard, subpar boba tea place when I went here for the first time. It is the closest boba place to my home, and, upon walking in, you don’t expect much from the place. It’s a small space with post-it notes as decor.

Little did I know, it is the best boba tea I have ever had, and it’s now my go-to for any kind of “comfort food.” My significant other also loves their drinks and food!

Milk T absolutely does not disappoint. I haven’t had a bad drink here, and I haven’t had a bad taiyaki here either. The cheddar cheese taiyaki is like the grilled-cheese sandwich you never knew you needed in your life. The owner is patient and efficient.

Please, give this place a try. It’s hard to find places like this.“

There is only one person working here so expect your order to take a little while. We got the Endless Summer Bowl ($13.50) to share and it was super fresh. The acai texture was unique and more on the icy side so it held its shape and didn't melt. The granola and coconut flakes were good and I think homemade. Everything had a natural sweetness without any overpowering flavors in the bowl. We really liked it and would definitely come back if we're in the area, especially on a hot day.“

The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, perfect for a weekend meal. We did have an extended wait (they were out of biscuits 😅), but I have to give major credit to the management and wait staff. They handled it extremely well and even offered a discount for the inconvenience. Truly phenomenal service, they turned the situation around and made us feel taken care of. We tried the Bacon Board, which has a fun concept but could use a little more creativity. Just maple syrup on bacon didn’t quite hit the mark, but with a little flair this could easily be their signature appetizer. Now the entrées were exceptional. ✔️ My wife’s Southern Benny was flavorful and perfectly executed. ✔️ I had the grilled cheese with a hearty tomato soup and fries and let me just say, those fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Bottom line: 🔹 Great vibe, 🔹 excellent main dishes, 🔹 and top-tier service. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“We recently hosted our Pithi event at Zera Events, and it was absolutely perfect. The venue offered an incredible amount of space, which made it easy to create distinct areas for each part of the celebration. We were able to comfortably set up a buffet area, dedicated guest seating, and a beautiful henna station, all without the space ever feeling crowded.

One of the things we appreciated most was the flexibility of the venue. The layout allowed guests to move freely between activities while still keeping the event organized and inviting. Whether people were enjoying the food, getting henna done, or simply spending time with family and friends, there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the festivities.

The venue was clean, well-maintained, and provided the perfect atmosphere for a vibrant and memorable Pithi celebration. We received many compliments from our guests about the space and how comfortably everything was arranged.

“Great Food not so great service .
The food was great , we don't think it is fair to give a restaurant bad stars based on service.
We went to Los Caminos for the first time on Sunday.
The restaurant was not busy at all. We were the only one in a section. We were promptly seated .
Our waiter took our drink order and told us the chips and salsa were on there way. It was over 15 minutes before chips and salsa was delivered. After that time our drinks came (without the lemons we asked for).
The guacamole that we ordered as an appetizer came with our food.
The food was amazing!
We had to ask the person given out the chips for refills of our drinks.
Halfway through our meal we still haven't seen our waiter.
I finally got up from our table to look for our waiter to ask again for drink refills. I found him at the from talking to the young hostess.
I asked him to come to our table so we can request refills and more chips.
We received our refilled drinks but no chips?
I flagged down the waiter to remind him of the chips. After we finished our meal and requested the check the waiter apologize for me having to get up to get him to get our refills chips.

“As someone who genuinely loves coffee and is always on the hunt for a great coffee shop, Record Coffee Supply was truly exceptional!!

The barista was so kind, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. I also LOVE that their lattes come in 8 oz or 12 oz sizes — so you get an actual coffee-forward latte, not a giant cup of milk.

And the syrups are made in-house!! I ordered the Moreno Latte, half sweet, in an 8 oz, and it was 10/10. The perfect balance of espresso and flavor.

Already looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu! Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Denton!!“

“Exceptional stop within Denton Town Square if you have the time. The drinks are priced very fairly and there is a HUGE selection, and all three drinks that I tried were very enjoyable and I'm not that big of a beer person so I think that says a lot!

There are also TONS of board games across many different genres, titles, styles, and brands so you'll definitely find something fun to play whether it's something familiar or something new! Regardless, highly recommend this place for the games and drinks!“
