“This place was super chill and I will definitely go back. My only hesitation to visit was wondering if it was dog friendly. I did not see anything mentioning outdoor seating or being dog friendly. The most disappointing thing about my visit was arriving after dropping my dog off at home only to find that it is in fact dog friendly and had 2 dogs inside. The drinks were good and tasted better than the straight Kava I have made at home in the past.

“The service was excellent, Ethan was friendly and helpful as this was our first visit. We love the atmosphere, very welcoming.

Bought a carrot cake, key lime pie, a latte and chai latte with vanilla both hot.

The coffees had great flavor. The key lime pie crust was a bit crumbly and the carrot cake was a bit dry.

We will definitely be back to try other items on their vast menu.“

“Man this place blew me away. This was my first time here so I did not know what to expect. I came for a Birthday for a friend where a D&D game was being DM'ed by someone there as a reference point.
Parking was not the best only because it is the area, not the place itself. It is located right in the square so if you are there to walk around for a bit and see a few things it makes sense and would not be bad. For someone who was coming to this place for this event, I had to walk a decent way because I did not find a place to park close.
When I walked in, I knew I would like the place. There are a ton of places to sit and drink beer with a great selection. I had a couple of selections and all were great.
I loved the wall of board games that you could choose to grab and play. I saw parents with kids, what looked like a teenage boy and girl on a date, a group of people in their 40's all playing a game. It was fun to see that.
What I did NOT expect was to be led to a staircase that went DOWN. Underneath his really cool and large room up top, sits 3 separate rooms that could be closed off and held 6-8 people I think per room. I did not get a good look at one of the 3, it may be bigger. It is all wood and feels like a Tavern from the old days. Really cool setup down there and a great feel!
Seating was comfy but I do feel like the room we were in that was for up to 8 people did not truly fit 8 people (with a DM). We had to have someone sit on the side away from the table. Another thing that was lacking a bit was the lack of power outlets as we are all D&D Beyond users which means we had laptops. So we had to make that work. One last thing was that although the rooms were separate, they were still close to each other and we would hear the other group as they triumphed. This was not a bad thing, just calling it out. Our DM did run late but was amazing. She did a great job. Because she was late, we all got a free round on the house which was a great gesture.

“This is by far my favorite pizza ever! We found them accidentally as we were looking for food delivery late night and they were one of the few open and we are SO happy we found Zalat! The pizza is amazing. Always fresh, reheats great and the unique flavors are just perfection. Don’t forget about the dipping sauce they add. LOVE!!“

“Ambiance is so good. Live jazz on Tuesday night. Outdoor games for the kids. Earl Mar-tea-ni was beautiful and delicious. The food was very good, not mind-blowing, but well worth the prices. Very nice fruit cup with the kids’ meals. The service was excellent, even with just ordering at the bar. Very attentive and helpful! Hard to find places to afford a night out these days, so this is an absolute gem. Will be back for sure!

“I go here often and the food is always great! The bar manager (or at least I think she’s the manager) Christy is awesome! They got a new bartender Bailea she made sure to tell me how to spell her name… She is a stunner and makes the best Mexican Candy shots. Not a modern country fan but they always have great 90s country playing so I recommend this place 10/10“

I’m 22 and walked in with my 21 y/o boyfriend and immediately was given cold service and bad attitude from the bartender. He closed our tab without letting us tip… assuming he put 20% thinking we weren’t going to tip at all? That and the weak drink he made me left a bad taste in my mouth.“

“This was my first time at El Taco H, and it was fantastic. I went with my two grown kids, and they loved it also. The elote was AMAZING! I had the lengua taco and I will be getting it again next time. They have so many salsas at their salsa bar. Every one was delicious. We sat outside and it was such a pleasant atmosphere, inside the rest and out. The staff were courteous and helpful.“

“We were up from Taylor Tx visiting my Mom in Denton today. Wanted to buy us all lunch and found this place on google. We got brisket, sausage, beans, potatoe salad and sauce with all the trimmings. “Whomever is reading this, please please go check out the Pickled Carrot! Have been to the pickled carrot only once in person, but the customer service was amazing! It was a memorably kind interaction! The man that I presumed was the owner was helpful when navigating the menu, warm and inviting, along with having a great sense of humor. I have never been disappointed with a dish that I have received (I normally order through delivery apps) and I believe the portions to be very reasonably sized. The V-fries with their tofu is life changing, it’s been the only food item in Denton that I regularly crave! Today I tried the tofu noodle bowl and it was also wonderful. This might’ve been on accident, but I even received a second portion of the noodles which has made my whole day, probably even week! The flavor and freshness of their food is unmatched! They have a unique spin on Vietnamese cuisine while still keeping it simple and traditional. They care about their customers and put quality work into every dish that is made. The pricing is reasonably affordable especially for the quality that you are getting, its my occasional treat as a broke college student! I HIGHLY recommend the pickled carrot!

Sam is great in the kitchen but SUSIE Is the sweetest friendliest owner we have ever met! Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The best pancakes ever! “the boba is really good but fair warning the tiger milk tea is in a really small cup (also still the normal price of their regular drinks) and all of their speciality drinks are in this small cup. they don’t disclaim that unfortunately. i’m a huge sipper like it takes me a while to finish drinks but i finished this so quickly :( . oh well now i know! it’s good otherwise ☺️“
