“visited The Greenhouse in Denton, Texas, on Friday, July 25th, and really enjoyed the experience. The interior has a great casual dining vibe that’s perfect for conversation — relaxed but refined enough to feel like a treat.
Our waitress struck the perfect balance of attentiveness: available when needed but never intrusive. She gave us excellent recommendations when we were torn on what to order.
Pictured are two of our entrées:
Honey Chipotle Salmon – This was the table favorite. The salmon was glazed with a rich honey chipotle sauce and served alongside jack cheese mashed potatoes and broccolini. The dish was clean, flavorful, and well balanced — the richness of the potatoes was offset beautifully by the glaze. I could honestly put that glaze on anything. 😂
Stuffed Chicken – Filled with poblano pesto and jack cheese, this chicken dish was topped with a creamy poblano pesto sauce and served over the same jack cheese mashed potatoes. While tasty, it felt like it was missing something — maybe a pop of acidity or a marinade to liven up the chicken. Still enjoyable, just not quite as memorable as the salmon.
Overall, we had a fantastic dinner. The wine was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet Friday night out. I’m sure we’ll be back sooner rather than later.“

“Like I said on previous posts For bars on Fry Street if you do not do the Fry Street bar crawl On your birthday, you are not living. Mine ended with me in the ER with seven staples In my head A concussion and four days in the ICU and it was worth every minute of it. I had the best time of my life. Unfortunately, I chose to go to aces Not on fry street After afterwards And that’s what sent me over the top But all the games I played doing the crawl All the people I met in every bar And the experience I had on my second day being in Texas It was the best time of my life And every single bar on Fry Street was such a good time All the workers were amazing Tip your bartenders and servers always people I just had the best time Piece of advice, always in the bar crawl after you finish Do not go to another bar That is not on Fry Street if you complete the crawl This is a bad idea Go home Lol But do the crawl Live life and have a blast You will never regret it Even staples layer 🤣🤣🤣😭“

“My quandary: give Hannah’s the rave review it deserves and risk not being able to get a table on a Saturday night or just pretend we never made it to dinner? Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. Thank you to the kitchen staff and everyone in the front of the house and remember to save us a table on Saturday nights. See you soon.“

“We celebrated my daughter’s bridal shower in the Vintage Room recently. It was so nice! The food was incredible and the room was beautiful. Both Jenn, the owner, and Sara, our event hostess, were a pleasure to work with. If you’re looking for a place to have an event- I highly recommend Sip + Savor!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’ve been longtime fans of 940’s—back when the hummus and veggie plate had us in a full-on emotional relationship. 💁♀️ Yes, we were a little heartbroken when the menu changed, but we never fault a place for growing and evolving. That said, we had stopped coming for a bit because, honestly… the service just hadn’t been it. The food was always great, but the vibe wasn’t. We took a break. We missed it. And yesturday—we came back. And THANK GOODNESS WE DID. The food was absolutely phenomenal (more on that below), but what truly brought us back into the 940’s fan club was Diana. Our waitress. Our queen. Our Lunch MVP. She was kind, attentive, hilarious, and genuinely made us feel like we were the highlight of her day. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked, gave us fantastic recommendations, and treated us like old friends. She wasn’t just doing her job—she was the energy. She took a great meal and made it a memorable experience. Diana, if you see this: You’re the reason we’ll be back again and again. Give this woman a raise, a crown, and whatever shift she wants. Now, the food: • The pulled pork poppers? 10/10. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and smoky inside, with two sauces that made it impossible to pick a favorite. A flavor-packed appetizer we wouldn’t change a single thing about. • The fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese? Elite. Thick, crunchy, juicy chicken with all the right toppings and that creamy, dreamy pimento that took it into comfort food heaven. • We also tried the Lemon Pom Pom and a Strawberry mocktails—both light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced to pair with the richness of the meal. (We love a good mocktail moment.) Bottom line: Diana + that kitchen crew? Match made in food heaven. 940’s is officially BACK in our regular rotation. 🖤 #DentonEats #940sKitchen“
