“The best part here is the atmosphere. It’s breathtaking. You can spend your entire time just looking around and enjoying yourself. The food is delicious. What’s also fun are the grounds around the restaurant. There are alpacas, neat old buildings, and cabin/hotel rooms you can stay in. There is also a swimming pool. It’s definitely worth the drive slightly out in the country to visit Tillie’s.“

Eden East Farm New American • $$$
211 Darden Hill Road, Driftwood

“Eden East is a great concept and well executed. The restaurant experience and the food is probably not for everyone, but if you are interested in very casual perfectly Austin in attitude dining, and well prepared fresh food, you will enjoy this. the menu is limited, and we had two choices. their fresh quail and greens were excellent. the Beef did not have rich taste--too fresh actually, and as i am not a collard green fan and the preparation was not unique, i would have passed. overall it was very good. the price is quite steep, but the labor is loving and the food very fresh. they do serve alcohol but only as a gratis cocktail of their choice. byob.“
