Cafe Mayapan is open for take out and has a gordita special today with a free award winning book, "Into the Beautiful North". They're open from 11-3pm.Edit: omg the food is so simple and delicious! I don't normally like Jamaica since it leaves a tannic flavor behind, sometimes bitter, but theirs is amazeballs, slightly sweet, very floral, and a little sour/salty.I don't think I've had gorditas before other than Taco Bell and I'm glad my first authentic experience is with theirs....read full review

Very dry and under seasoned food. The chicken burrito was dry and so was the taco, tasted like boiled shredded chicken. Only two tiny portions of salsa provided. Salad was soaking wet and tasteless. Definitely recommend that your restaurant serves food worth paying for cause this wasn’t worth it all .
