This was my first time here, and not only was the food absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable. My glass was barely half empty, and I was offered a refill, and to me that is important because it shows the staff is aware of the client's needs. Can't wait to go back!
I've been eating here since 2002 when I lived in ELP. The menu hasn't changed and that's good. Avocado gorditas are my favorite, and I've never seen them anywhere else. I can't say enough good things about JJs. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They also serve beer in bottles, and tostadas and green salsa in little wood bowls. Last time I went (2022) Oscar welcomed me like I was his brother. Gracias, Oscar. This is a special place for me and my family.

The best gorditas in El Paso for sure. This is also the only place I actually enjoy eating menudo at. The barbacoa burritos and hamburgers are also delicious. Can't leave without an empanada de piña either (or 2.)
