You’ll find the crew working hard on Thursday-Saturday evenings from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm. We often hear the term “support local” and this place is a true definition of what supporting local means. Everyone that works here has their main jobs during weekdays, but three nights a week, they dedicate themselves to meeting everyone they serve. In between orders, the hustle and bustle of the night, and the sound of the kitchen bell announcing completed orders, the staff take their time to explain dishes and provide you with great service. Supporting local is more than just visiting an establishment, it is getting to know the people that live and work in your community. This is exactly what this group of hard-working people do. We’ve been to many local places, where the servers recognize us, and will remember our general order. But no other place takes the time to really get to know your story and allowing you to get to know them. We’ve sat through countless meals sharing conversations and stories with the staff that make this place what it is. No matter what server you get, you’re in for a treat. Julie, the dedicated and loving coach, whose career expands through retirement, and different schools; Robert, who has already retired but has continued to work with the community in insurance sales; and Audrey serving younger generations at UTEP. Then we have Laura (the owner), who takes so much pride in her restaurant, and the food that comes out of her kitchen. The sauces and dough are made from scratch daily. You can follow the menu or get creative and start adding toppings to your dishes. Whether you’re craving pasta, pizza, Monteleone’s rolls, or Tortiglioni (a.k.a. Tort) with more toppings than you know what to do with, you can’t go wrong with anything. We can’t forget sweet Mrs. B, who makes delicious cakes, and keeps busy helping Laura and the crew in the kitchen. On Friday and Saturday nights, you’ll have a chance to hear Julie belting out a song whenever a pizza is ordered, and all three nights hearing the staff offer up Mrs. B’s cake for dessert. If you visit on a Friday night, you can request to sit in the bar area and listen to David Huerta sing the night away, taking requests no matter if English or Spanish. The music at a perfect volume, allowing for enjoyment and conversation. This is the reason why I couldn’t think of a better place to spend my 40th birthday. Thank you to Laura, Mrs. B, Julie, Robert, Audrey, Frances, David and the rest of the crew for an amazing evening. David even sang three different birthday songs! Pick the night and visit, introduce yourself, and feel the love that this place brings. You’ll feel like a regular, even though it’s your first time. Although we had to wait because there was a mistake with our order being placed our waiter Diego was incredibly kind and got the mistake addressed and fixed right away. He made sure our food was fresh and apologized for the inconvenience. We have never had a waiter that was so quick to act and as kind as Diego tonight! “The staff was warm and welcoming, and the margaritas at the bar were excellent. Special recognition to the bartender who crafted a truly proper Sidecar for my husband. That said, the wait for our table was unexpectedly long—over an hour—despite the restaurant being far from full and unusually quiet for a Saturday night. It seemed they may have been short-staffed.
The hatch chile cream soup was, as always, outstanding. Unfortunately, our rare ribeye and brisket arrived overcooked and dry, but the team addressed the issue quickly and professionally. Once everything was corrected, our large party all enjoyed their meals, including the ribeye tacos, grilled salmon, steakburger, and the green chile pasta with shrimp. We also loved the delicious coleslaw and beans.“

“Let me start off by saying the Three course meal for $60.00 is a nice deal! The steak and shrimp was amazing! I also had the veal ravioli for an appetizer and that veal ravioli was the star of the meal! Ruth Chris should make the Veal Ravioli a meal on its own trust me it’s that good! The garlic mash potatoes were gritty with a little to much butter and the house salad was amazing!

My issue with Ruth Chris is they have an identity crisis. I’m not sure if they want to be a high end steak house or sports bar. You had music playing sports on all the televisions I just did not get the high end steak feel.

Overall I do recommend eating at Ruth Chris, the food is good“

“Such a cozy little ramen spot! I had the Gom ramen spice level 2 (out of 0-3) and it was delicious! The ramen itself was $10 and any add-ons such as cheese, kimchi, or extra meat are between 2-3 dollars. The service was superb and I had my food within 5 minutes of ordering! Will definitely be coming back!“

The potato salad was just as impressive, creamy and perfectly seasoned. But the real standout was the dressing… it was so good! Seriously, I could put that on everything.

“I have been to Mac's several times and try to get something new each time. I drive into El Paso a few times a year and I always stop by here. they make the most amazing flavors of cheesecakes. this last time I tried a new dessert which was a bourbon bread pudding. Oh man it was to die for! but I think this lost weekend I found my favorite dish. Grilled Salmon with an amazing mushroom lemon sauce on a bed of rice. its served with a refreshing and crisp spinach salad on the side. they have amazing po boys lobster mac and cheese and other favorites but this Salmon with the mushroom sauce is by far my favorite. I almost went in again for another plate before I left town lol. The people there are amazing they're friendly and attentive. 5 stars And I always recommend them to my friends and family and El Paso. they've never been disappointed! thanks Mac's for never letting me and my hungry fam down! 💕“

“My wife and I were in El Paso for the El Paso Marathon. We had to try Rosa's Cantina. When we arrived there was 1 open table and there was a lady singing and playing the saxophone. Nothing negative to say about either place, just something that could cause confusion. The employees usually clarify upon answering anyway, but there's always someone who misses it over the phone when unprompted, if they don't know about it. So, fyi.“
