“Current manager at Southlake store is super friendly. I always go in & just get one cupcake since I love desserts, and she always remembers me! Even has offered to make a cupcake for me if not available. I love frosting, particularly buttercream, so the birthday surprise / funfetti cupcake with the heap of frosting is awesome. Also like the strawberry, lemon & white midnight magic and the specialty chocolate truffle with white frosting. I do prefer some flavors to others but definitely appreciate the friendly staff and that the cupcakes taste moist! I definitely prefer the taste and flavors here to Nothing Bundt Cakes.“

“I wanted some cupcakes for my father's birthday and found this place on Yelp! The guy was very friendly, the place is very quaint, cute, clean, and the cupcakes are all beautiful and beautifully presented. I got 4 peanut butter cup, 3 carrot cake, 2 cookies and cream, 2 caramel crunch, and the last birthday cake one. Everyone was very impressed with them and absolutely loved them when they ate them. The few I tried were not so sweet that you can't finish one even though they're huge. I will be back for sure!“

And there were plenty of cake pieces for all of our guests (We had about 80 guests in total)***We booked through Walters and Jenny Layne Bakery was the provided cake vendor. The planning experience with the bakery is decent, as now the actual wedding planning rep/manager will be the person to discuss the cake design, clients will no longer work directly with the bakery.There were 4 choices for the wedding cake/desserts: 4 - Tiered Wedding Cake; Traditional Duo; Modern Trio; Petite Cake & Desserts. We went with the very classic and quintessential smooth 4-tier cake, and the two flavors we chose were "The Most Popular" and "Chocolate Espresso (I believe now they changed it to Classic Chocolate)".We had the opportunities to go to several tastings in 2023 and we tried almost all the flavors and the various desserts the bakery offers. We were having some concerns as the cake flavors, although were good, the texture was hit or miss. In addition, the other desserts we tried were all alright, nothing spectacular. Due to those reason we were concern how the wedding cake would turn out and rightfully so!Amazingly, the cake for our wedding not only tasted AMAZING, but also looked so classy and elegant. In addition, there were PLENTY of cake SLICES for our guests (Each guest could easily have both flavors and some more! I personally attended weddings before where the cake was not even a bite!)I would give the bakery a high rating and say they have done an amazing job for our wedding! I did not get to see the bakery staff assemble the cascade floral, but it turned out looking stunning! Huge props to both The Jenny Layne Bakery and The Design Haus for our wedding cake!“
“We are so glad that we chose to have bundlets for our guests at the wedding. We included 5 flavor options on our digital RSVPs so that guests could choose what they wanted. We also instructed our venue to serve them in the clamshell and NOT bus them off the tables, so that guests who didn’t eat their whole bundlet before getting back on the dance floor got to take it home with them. My new husband and I each got a bundlet packed into our getaway vehicle for ourselves as well! We wish they had offered a discount for bulk/catering, but we did notice that prices vary slightly by NBC bakery locations, so you should price compare as well.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“Another gem!! Small bakery with a lot of choices so we had to try a mixed box of pastries. The cookies were delicious. The snickerdoodle and oatmeal chocolate chip were the best. “Went here a while ago and I was in love with this place! Their ice creams are just amazing! We ordered their signature Oreo Overload which had vanilla ice cream, oreos, chocolate chips, and chocolate fudge! They mix it in front of you and then serve it in a waffle bowl or a simple bowl. The ice cream was just so good! Makes me want to go back! The service was quick and they made sure to mix the creations separately for people with allergies! So make sure to inform them if you have any! Definitely going back!“
“1st time here and got to meet the owner who was super sweet. The store is very cute and you can see how much the owner is passionate about her bakery. We walked in after eating dinner across the street and even though the shop was in the last hour of closing she was happy as can be to make us feel welcome.There were tons of unique little treats in the display and it was a little tough to choose only one because they ALL sounded SO GOOD. We even grabbed my pup a little dog biscuit. We will definitely return here next time we are in the mood for an afternoon treat!“
