I recently visited Southern Social, and the service was truly above and beyond. Rolanda made the entire experience feel welcoming and effortless. And the food? OMG…absolutely excellent. Every bite delivered!
If you’re in Forney, TX, this is a spot you have to try. Hear me when I say you will not be disappointed with anything on the menu. Go taste and see for yourself!
They have the Best Crawfish 🦞 in the area hands down‼️‼️ So much flavor, the crawfish are clean and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ‼️‼️‼️
The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. I definitely enjoyed that you could look directly in the service area and see the cleanliness. My order was hot, fresh and very satisfying as always. Best breakfast, BURGERS and cornbread in the DFW!!!

The staff is warm and friendly, and the owner takes time to walk through the menu with patience and warmth. The food is prepared with care, featuring perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy fried chicken and fried okra. Other standout dishes include the stewed neck bones with potatoes and white rice, which were "OFF THE CHARTS," and the chicken sandwich with peach cobbler. The collard greens are the best some have ever had, and the fried pork chops are tender, crunchy, and a nice size. Other menu items like oxtails, Salisbury steak, catfish, yams, cabbage, and cornbread cake are all flavorful and comforting. The corn cake was spot on, and the watermelon kool-aid is so good and not too sweet. Every bite delivers, and guests are told they will not be disappointed with anything on the menu. Customers recommend bringing an empty stomach and stretchy pants. The ambiance is incredible, and the restaurant is located with other shops and Dallas College in Forney, TX.
