“Went with my hubby and son. Extremely pleased with service, atmosphere and food! First, we were seated promptly. We went on a Monday evening (8/19). Second, our waitress, Laura, was wonderful! Third, we loved the vibe. The seating was spaced out so you weren't in top of each other. We didn't use the bar, but I definitely took note to come back with adults! They have an area that looks like it'd be great for parties/events. And lastly, the food was great. We ordered two boils; gumbo; catfish basket with Cajun fries; and crab rangoons. Everything was delicious and came out HOT! Now, my favorite were the crab rangoons. Not only were they cute, but baby they were STUFFED... 10/10!!! We will definitely go back, especially for the cocktails. We didn't order this time, but they looked delicious. And the prices were fair.

I personally am not a big fan of fish, but DB's has changed my opinion!!
My husband and I stopped by while in Forney, and per normal, the food didn't disappoint.
We had Fish and Shrimp rd (fried)
French fries, dirty rice,cabbage, collards, and crispy okra.
This was Saturday evening, and we got there just in time. The line was almost out the door within minutes of arriving.
Now if you are a "huffer puffer " kind of person and want your food 5 minutes ago, be mindful of peek times.
We don't mind waiting for food if it is "worth it"...
Anyway..get to this place and sing their praises ? .
Only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!!

“My food was sooo good and flavorful I don’t know about anyone else. Maybe they came on a supper busy night but the food is bussin everything came out HOT AND FRESH and sooo seasoned with flavor nothing . From the fries to fish, side of vegetables everything was soooooo good 100/10 must try!“

“I have been putting off writing this review because my husband said the people were so nice I shouldn't give a bad review. The people working there were incredibly nice and accommodating basically telling me I could order something anyway I wanted it. I got fried oysters. The batter was just OK, not amazing. I got the grilled oysters on the half shell. It's one of my favorite dishes so I was really looking forward to it. BOY WAS I DISAPPOINTED! It tasted like someone had dumped French Onion Soup over them and topped them with parmesan cheese. Don't get me wrong, I love French Onion Soup but not on my oysters. My husband ordered crab cakes. Having had a crab cake in Baltimore at a fine eating establishment, I knew what it should taste like and what the texture should be. Both were off. Fries and onion rings were ok. Homemade sauces were standouts as was the impeccable friendliness of the staff. I told my husband I eventually had to write this because this meal was not something I would spend $60 on again. My comment to the chef and owner however is...if you came up with those sauces on your own, you can fix what's wrong with the oysters. You have an awesome menu. Good luck improving the taste and texture“

“I was very impressed. I stumbled upon this place by chance and didn’t know what to expect. The shrimp were amazing—perfectly seasoned! The crawfish was just okay, though it’s not my favorite. Overall, the dishes were great, and I can’t wait to return. I deducted one star because I think the wait time could be improved.“

“The food is excellent and over the top. It is nice and clean. The food in the service is wonderful. They even have takeout which is great. The price is very reasonable. It is one of my favorite places to go to.“

“Unlike a previous Customer who reviewed the same week I attended Golden City, my lunch version of their Orange Chicken chicken was perfect. I will admit it was not spicy to my liking but I did not request any higher setting other than default menu. Another person at my table did say their General Tso's Chicken was dry on the inside and there was a notable difference between our 2 cooked chickens. And I will agree, the egg rolls are awesome. The lady who greeted and served us was attentive and cheery! For me, the cost, quality, and experience were right on par with my previous visit.“
