My grandfather lived on that side of town for many years and always got bread and menudo from this place. La Sevillana I applaud you for your authenticity and your food, it is bakeries like yours that not only make the best food but (intentionally or not) have given me many memories. “My mom and I had visited for the first time before picking up one of our family members. We had heard about Chiquis through Instagram and TikTok. It was a great experience, the owner greeted us and walked us through each of the pastries and offered us a sample of their Café de olla. She had mentioned that it’s a favorite and she’s right! There is no need for sugar or creamer, this is delicious as is and they make it themselves! Will definitely be returning before my next flight!“

The actual bakery is on the other side of the bridge as you can see on Google maps but their warehouse for deliveries and pick ups are here as marked on the picture I posted. Make sure you get wide to turn into this place. It's basically a u turn to get in here.“

“Super cute bakery full of color, art, and culture. There's a patio to eat outside, and a few tables inside. The pan dulce was really good. I can vouch that the cheese Danish style bread is delicious. There's another one with cream cheese and guava that's awesome, and also the piedra cubierta. They had pan de muerto as well. They have coffee station, and a food menu but I didn't try either this time. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I'm definitely returning.“

“I didn’t know when I woke up this morning that I would be compelled to write a review about the best apple fritter I’ve ever put on my mouth but, here we are.

I’ve been to Bella Cora many times. Usually I get one of the sourdough loafs if there are any left. You see, sourdough drops on Thursdays and I only go to Bella Cora Bakery on Saturday mornings when my kids are at music lessons. I’ve had the scones, the macaroons, the breakfast toasts that have green chile, egg and bacon before, but I don’t remember having a fritter.
Let me tell ya, this fritter looked like what a fritter should look like. Picked out the two most majestic looking apple fritters and when I got home-wow.
Crispy on the outside and with a flavor!! Oh Em Gee!! The flavor!! And texture! And inside yummy doughy, sweet fluffiness!! I tell ya, BEST apple fritter I’ve EVER had in my life. Now if only I could convince the owner to make ciabatta…… 😉“

“I think I found my go to coffee shop for when I’m in El Paso. This place checks all the boxes on what I look for when reviewing. The food and coffee are great. I ordered a turkey pesto Panini and it was delicious. I also ordered a coffee which had a Spanish flair with cinnamon. I don’t remember the name, but it was really good. The layout of the store is nice with a vibe that make you feel welcomed. It’s really inviting the plants add to the ambience. The store itself is clean and nice and the service was great. They took my order, asked questions and make sure I had everything I needed. Good seating options inside and parking outside. I didn’t mention they are a hemp dispensary serving coffee infused or non-infused with CBD,CBG,CBN and CBC. They also sell other products like clothing, edibles, and more. Top marks for this coffee shop.“

The only problem was that even do he was friendly when a person requested water and he was ok to provided that , he grabbed a tumbler across the counter without proper sanitize that tumbler or at least making an effort to at least rinse it with water he just went straight and fill it up from fountain Sodas dispenser .. yikes … the tumbler was not even the one you drink from the lid but you drink straight up from the tumbler .. 🤢 maybe before Covid times were less of a big deal but know is not. I explained that to the team member to his answer well it was a few inches down it not really touched much …“

We ended up leaving with a dozen pan and 6 chili con queso tamales! As of right now we haven’t gotten to try all of the pan dulces we selected but from wat we have tasted plus the tamales everything is so delicious! I’m very picky when it comes to my tamales but these were by far one of the best I’ve had! The masa has so much flavor and the chili con queso has just the right amount of heat!( for me at least I love a good kick) We will definitely be back! I’m excited to try their burritos next!“
