We came into Fredericksburg from out of town and were celebrating my husband and father-in-law's birthday while there. I wanted to order a special cake for them and found Sophie's Bakery online. I loved that I was able to take care of the whole advanced ordering process online. When I went to pick up the cake, it was right there waiting for me in the porch refrigerator. Our wedding experience was made all the sweeter thanks to Sophie and Emma at Sophie's Bakery, a delightfully friendly and fun team to work with! They were very fun to talk to over the phone, had helpful tips along the way, and everyone enjoyed the cake (there was none left over!) Wow! Unexpectedly fabulous!!! Ordered a small cake for a small wedding, and picked it up the morning of. It was exactly what I ordered, and the quality was just excellent. Chocolate cake was dense but light, with a small crumb. Just the right balance between spongy and crumbly, plenty moist and just delicious. We had a chocolate cake with raspberry preserves filling, "naked" white icing and a chocolate ganache on top dripping down the sides. Perfecto.
