“1/12/2025-This is a awesome vibe here. The ambiance is a nice bistro with some crazy art to keep you entertained but the music and lighting sets the mood. I would come back here again and again. I visited here without a reservation and was greeted when I first came in. The staff was nice friendly and attentive. Emma was awesome and recommended some dishes. The burger, half chicken, rice, and sesame butter cookie were awesome and the drinks. I had the voodoo drink. I highly recommended and you won't be disappointed.“

“I didn’t have high expectations of this place but after eating here I was pleasantly surprised. While the menu may not be cutting edge recipes but more of what you expect in an American menu, what they do have they do well, with their own twists.
1. The free biscuits were very good. It came with flavored butter and a sweet jelly. The biscuits came hot and steamy, fresh out of the oven.
2. The wedge salad had your typical ice burg lettuce and butter milk blue cheese dressing. What made it next level was the perfectly thin fried onion rings that were crispy and tasty.
3. The shrimp and grits: the shrimp had blackened seasoning and fresh and plump. Nothing wrong there. The grits were well cooked and not clumpy. There was a ring of Thai chili sauce on the edge of the grits. The combination of the buttery grits with the sauce made for a pleasant eating experience. It was a touch too sweet but I didn’t mind.
The only down side was that the service after water was placed on the table was really slow. It took a long time for food to be ordered.
Overall, good quality food served and worth a second visit.“

“Have been going here since 2016 and I've seen it grow from a shack to a full blown pavilion with doors and space for heaters. The graffiti has been kept and is not quite family friendly :). It's still one of the most affordable, unique hot dog places in town. The Southern Caviar is a great sharable appetizer that normally comes with 6-10 toast bites and very generous servings of cheese. A taco is large enough for 4-5 big bites and can be shared among two people as an appetizer. One hot dog with this combo works very well, or two hot dogs with no appetizers if you have a real appetite. Highly recommend chef's choice of toppings (honestly can't go wrong with any meat but I'm partial to the duck, lamb, and elk. I usually do chef's choice toppings, with sauerkraut) and the cheese from the southern caviar helps finish the pretzel bun if you have some left over after eating the hot dog.

Dietary restrictions: Pretty nut allergy friendly, at least with the tacos and hot dogs. Some beers may have peanut butter notes.“

“James. Great waiter. They were smoking the chips and brisket for a dip duo. Asked him to smoke my old-fashioned and he did. Went above and beyond. Hard to find this type of responsive waiter during busy times any more. Definitely recommend.“

“This was my first time trying the food, and I must say it was excellent. The wings were perfectly seasoned all the way through, and I appreciated that they were whole wings, not just wingettes. The Kool-Aid was tasty, and the gyro sandwich was also well-seasoned. The wait time is a bit longer than usual, but since everything is cooked fresh, I didn’t mind. The location is in a somewhat sketchy strip mall, but just park, head inside, place your order, and leave—it's not an issue. While I wasn’t a fan of the fries, the main dishes were great. Bottom line: I’ll definitely be back.“

I discovered this spot on the same app as many others (Too Good To Go). What a blessing! Some of the best fish n grits I ever had. From now on, I’ll be calling directly to place orders and see what’s on the menu that day. (I’ve only gotten take out).

The food and service at the Pine Street Cafe was impeccable, and is an added bonus to have onsite when you stay here - and you get breakfast for 2 included with your booking. “I highly recommend this Café. I ordered to go as I’m leaving state after breakfast, but the girl that helped me carry my drinks out was super sweet. Not being from Texas I was curious about everything on the land and she was very informative (I should’ve gotten her name). I ordered the Sycamore 2s which was 2 pancakes (choice of 1/2 waffle or 2 slices French toast), 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon (choice of sausage also). I got my son an order of French toast, and a friend the brunch burger. Everything was AMAZING. The server mentioned Mondays they have a mimosa special (she told me exactly but I forget it). I like over medium eggs and this is the first place I’ve been that’s gotten my eggs PERFECT the first time around. It’s an adorable little café and there’s a wedding venue in the back. “Franks Grill on Telephone Road opened in 1963 by my neighbors Frank and Bertha Mae Jones of Glenbrook Valley, Houston. I washed dishes on opening day and my mother "Pipsy" was the cashier. Frank greeted every customer personally with a smile. Bertha Mae baked the best homemade pies in the world, all from scratch. For breakfast you got a half a plate of hashbrowns with 2 sausage patties and 2 eggs. Add coffee all for under $3 Dollars. I ate there most of my life and is still good today.“

The owner was very polite and had great service. The parking lot the food truck is in can be a little sketchy at night time so that’s something to be mindful of. I would return to try other dishes but the pasta and wing combo was just okay to me.“

“Muy rico! Came here because we were craving burgers but didn’t want BJ or HD. I definitely recommend! I had a turkey burger and it was super moist and seasoned. My boyfriend said his burger was also cooked and seasoned perfectly.

The vibes are chill and nostalgic with all the vintage items. It thru us back to simpler times.
