“I want to touch on their Toasted After Dark offering. My husband and I recently hosted my 40th birthday party there as their first Toasted After Dark event. It was incredible! I really wanted a brunch menu, and while their offerings online showed mostly lunch/dinner offerings they worked with me to come up with the perfect brunch centered buffet. Our party of almost 40 people raved about how delicious it was! This was just the start. The staff, headed by manager Robert, cleared out an area to make a dance floor for our silent disco event. The mimosa package which came with various flavors of mimosas and house wine and I think beer was plentiful and our friendly bartender kept the drinks flowing. They bent over backwards to make it the perfect night and I couldn’t have imagined it much better than it turned out! I highly recommend them as a fun and different venue with delicious food for your next event!“

The only reason why I’m knocking off a star is because I wasn’t a fan of one of the strawberry cakes. The taste was off a little and it just didn’t do it for me. Everything else was on point. I wish that this allowed us to do half stars b/c I wouldn’t take off a full star, but unfortunately it doesn’t.“

“We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

“Whiskey Cake never fails. Once again the recommendations from our waiter Christian were absolutely wonderful. We feel like family when we are visiting from North Carolina. He always makes us feel so welcomed. Shout out to Stephanie and Haley for taking the time to say hello. Missed seeing Margaret but I'm sure we will see her before we have to head home. “Can’t go wrong visiting Moontower Inn. Their craft beer menu turns over quickly, and they always a great selection ranging from solids to rares. Food is great if limited. You can get gamey dogs here and they do a mean smash burger, and there’s not too much else though a couple sides really stand out. It’s also the atmospehere here…it’s open and airy. Its crowd is a mix of regulars, professionals and artsy types.

Parking. No dedicated lot, but ample side street parking.

If you’re looking for a place in east downtown to grab a casual bite or spend an hour or two trying out some good to great beers, you can’t beat this place“

“1/5/26- (Monday), I had a long day at work and decided to go to a happy hour. I searched in my area and found this restaurant. It was my first time going. I was greeted when I walked in and went to the bar. The bartender-Russell greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. He answered all my questions and also suggested some items. I was also given a free appetizer since it was my first time there. Manager-Maegan brought it out to me. She was pleasant and had a smile on her face as well. I so enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, as well as the staff and management. She even given me a free dessert card to come back. I so recommended this location. Great people, food, drinks, and happy hour. They have a large variety as well as the drink menu.“

“Visited Lucio’s for the first time. The BYOB is a major plus only for $10 cork fee. They do have their own wine selection (pricey). The food was great. I would not say the food was amazing but it was great. Presentation of the plates is good, but nothing I would describe as amazing or spectacular. The food is a bit overprices in my opinion. You are looking at an average $45-55 an entree, with some in the $60+. Service was top notch, very attentive staff. The ambience of the restaurant is ok, I think the tables were a bit simple and not elegant IMO. There are 2 seating areas, we sat by the entrance in from of the kitchen. At first I thought how cool but I must admit that there was quite a bit of “smoke” in terms of what was being cooked such as fish etc that you could easily smell from the table and I particularly did not like that. I would definitely come back.“

The desserts were not as good as they sounded, but the entrees were great. A little heavy on the salt, but otherwise good. My family lived the Paella, and the beef medallions were rich and the appetizers of fried asparagus and a mix were good, but my favorite was the shrimp cocktail. Would get that again. We were in a private room for 8, and we had an excellent time. Valet is necessary, but I felt good about parking.“

“Me and my wife came earlier today for our first time. The food was delicious. We tried the wings the loaded fries and of course the cheesesteak. Everything was fresh, great portions and flavorful. The wings and fries were fried to perfection! The cheesesteak had alot of meat and cheese and was my favorite cheesesteak i ever had. We are definitely coming back for the food but also the customer service was on point. They are so kind and humble and did not rush us as we looked over the whole menu since it was our first time.
