“HOLY SMOKES! The dinner menu here is AMAZING. We came with friends and tried so many dishes and truly they were all so good, I was blown away. The mashed potatoes are the best I’ve ever had!!! Short rib French fries Short rib grilled cheese Salmon Chicken Caesar family Mac and Cheese Steak with Chimichurri Literally everything was so so good!!! Also the team here is so fun and nice. We have loved coming here for drinks — but I hadn’t come for full dinner until tonight and I think this is going to be a new staple in our date nights!!!! — BUT ALSO THEY HAVE MOVIE NIGHTS FOR KIDS ON WEDNESDAYS!!!“

“We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

“Whiskey Cake never fails. Once again the recommendations from our waiter Christian were absolutely wonderful. We feel like family when we are visiting from North Carolina. He always makes us feel so welcomed. Shout out to Stephanie and Haley for taking the time to say hello. Missed seeing Margaret but I'm sure we will see her before we have to head home. Absolutely recommend this awesome place and staff to everyone.“

“1/5/26- (Monday), I had a long day at work and decided to go to a happy hour. I searched in my area and found this restaurant. It was my first time going. I was greeted when I walked in and went to the bar. The bartender-Russell greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. He answered all my questions and also suggested some items. I was also given a free appetizer since it was my first time there. Manager-Maegan brought it out to me. She was pleasant and had a smile on her face as well. I so enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, as well as the staff and management. She even given me a free dessert card to come back. I so recommended this location. Great people, food, drinks, and happy hour. They have a large variety as well as the drink menu.“

“Me and my wife came earlier today for our first time. The food was delicious. We tried the wings the loaded fries and of course the cheesesteak. Everything was fresh, great portions and flavorful. The wings and fries were fried to perfection! The cheesesteak had alot of meat and cheese and was my favorite cheesesteak i ever had. We are definitely coming back for the food but also the customer service was on point. They are so kind and humble and did not rush us as we looked over the whole menu since it was our first time. They even have a drive-thru. The chef is legit and knows flavor! I want to thank you for such a great meal and I can tell your passionate about what you do! We can't wait to come back when we get back in town.“

“I was there yesterday with my family for my granddaughter’s birthday. It was the first time for all of us. The workers were very nice food was great. I even took have a dinner for my husband and his parents. The only complaint is that I did not get the gravy for the mashed potatoes. Bummer, since I live too far to go back for it we had to do without. So check your order before you go. This was my only complaint. The smothered chicken was excellent, squash casserole too and the potatoes tasted great, even without the gravy.“

“My husband and I found Jupiter shortly after we moved to Texas in 2020 and it quickly became one of our favorite local spots! I have never had food there that wasn’t delicious- that said, it’s the chicken & waffles for me! Also love that the beer menu is always changing, which has lead to me discovering some of my favorite local brews that I may have missed out on, if not for Jupiter. The semi-climate controlled outdoor area is also a lovely touch, especially on the occasional chilly Texas night! We highly recommend checking them out if you ever find yourself in Sugar Land and in need of some awesome food 😉👍“

However, I did buy a package of cinnamon rolls. They are amazing. I can’t wait to go back and buy a few meals!“

“I love Beck’s Prime. There are those (in my family) who argue that it is too pricy. I would argue, you get what you pay for. In the instance of beck’s, it is clear that it is in a class of its own and can’t be compared to crappy fast food restaurants just because it has a drive -thru window. On the contrary. The quality of the food and the consistently amazing service makes its value higher than the ones that they are unfairly being compared to, cost-wise.“

“Tried this place after it was recommended. First visit was a bit underwhelming. Everything was seasoned and tasted ok but portion sizes were small for the price paid. The combo came with two small catfish strips, not whole filets. The shrimp appeared to be fried tempura style which leads me to believe the seafood was pre-packaged frozen. The combo didn't come with any traditional sides like hush puppies, Cole slaw etc;. The menu is extensive and a bit all over the place. There's everything from wings, fried rice, crawfish hot dogs, polish sausage, boudain balls, there's daiquiris, desserts and too much to name. It's like it doesn't know what it wants to be. Again, what I had tasted good but it wasn't worth the $28 I paid. Seating is very limited, the place holds maybe less than 20 people. Not sure if they're structuring themselves as a Doordash destination but it's rather small. I may give them another try just because it's close to home. Again, it wasn't bad but the overall restaurant them is sort of confusing. It's like Cajun, Chinese, Burger fusion. I'll bring my son next time and get his opinion.“

Stuffed with Fontina cheese and parmesan, it was a comforting burst of flavor. The meatball was perfectly seared, and the gooey cheese center added a luxurious touch that set the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, I chose the Seared Snapper, and it was a revelation. The fish was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside. The accompaniments of sweet & sour Swiss chard, onion soubise, and tomato brown butter created a symphony of flavors that elevated the dish to something truly memorable. Each bite was balanced, vibrant, and deeply satisfying. My guest had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and I couldn’t resist trying a forkful. It was packed with sweet, succulent crab meat and paired beautifully with pickled runner beans and a punchy sorghum hot mustard that added just the right amount of heat and tang. It was easily one of the best crab cakes either of us had tasted. We shared a side of House French Fries with roasted garlic aioli, which were crispy, golden, and addictive. The aioli was creamy and flavorful, making it hard not to reach for more. Dessert was the perfect finale. The Crème Fraîche Cheesecake, topped with Thai basil syrup and strawberries, was light and refreshing, with a subtle herbal note that made it stand out. The Lemon Tart, with its toasted meringue and raspberry, was a bright, citrusy delight—tangy, sweet, and beautifully presented. Service throughout the evening was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Latuli isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of Gulf Coast flavors with a sophisticated twist. Whether you're a local or visiting Houston, this is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates thoughtful cuisine and a memorable dining experience.“

I added crawfish they were small but expected since we’re not yet in crawfish season. I still wanted it added for the crawfish texture wouldn’t be surprised if they’re bigger more in season.“
