“Visited First Watch for the first time on Saturday and the atmosphere is welcoming & clean. Waited for 15 minutes while sitting outside reviewing the menu. Our server was very nice and attentive. I ate the eggs Benedict with thinly sliced ham and a side a the potatoes, it was delicious! My husband had the traditional breakfast and he said the bacon was crispy & fantastic! “Loved the attention. We had a group of 12 ladies who were enjoying ourselves heartily while being pampered by KPs staff. They made us feel at home and not a bad spot to go on Wednesday. I liked that the byob is still there. I liked that they actually made a percent donation on our meals for a charity (forgot which 1). Pretty and yet not fussy and the food is excellent. There is ample parking w out having to vallet. Kerry Pauly has a great menu to choose from. Since Benjys was a fav restaurant that closed, and Kerry worked w the chef there, he picked up the hospitality & menu choices I prefer! He's usually there, attentive to his diners. “I've never eaten here but decided to try the food after a day out on the scooter. I'm glad I did! Oscar hipped me to the happy hour (M-F 5-close) and I was sold. I liked that Shiner is considered "Domestic " here. The chicken tenders were moist and not overly crunchy and the honey mustard sauce was dreamy. Highly recommend this place when you're out and about or those nights when you don't feel like cooking. Will definitely be back!“

From the perfectly toasted buttery bread , the smash burger style patties , and the special Smack sauced blendig with the melted cheese..... ?. It was quite delicious, definitely going back for more. The parmesan fries were good too with their ranch sauce. Nice and crispy.The last thing is the lady working there named Miriam( The sista behind the counter with the blue glasses). She gave over the top customer service. She took the oder and went to the back to prep, then served it. She also made sure we were comfortable and even asked if everything was to my parties liking. “After being a big fan of Cafe Annie for decades we decided to try Turners. The service is exceptional and the food was excellent. The noise level is such that you cannot carry on a decent conversation: the tables are big so you have to lean over the table and literally scream to have a conversation. I found this quite unacceptable. Is it worth the price? I will leave that for others to decide but I think we will stick to the upstairs and Annie Cafe which is a bit more casual, better value for the money, and you can actually talk without blowing your lungs out. Turners is cozy, the tables are close together and it's dark: I kind of the like the openness of Annie Cafe a bit better, sorry. It was an excellent opportunity and I'm sure we'll be back at some point in the future, but I think upstairs in Annie Cafe is simply more relaxing and fun.“

“They do a large portion of their business by take out and phone orders. So much to choose from but I usually stick with a juicy burger. The kids burgers are plenty big.The last visit we went there were a couple of hiccups. I had ordered curly fries and got regular fries, but they quickly fixed that. I had ordered bacon but after a few bites I noticed there was no bacon. I heard another customer mention they did not get the avocado they ordered. Could have been an off night, since they were really busy with to-go orders. Those hiccups won't stop me from going again. Very friendly service.“

“we were in the area and looking for a decent place for lunch and decided to try Willie’s. overall good food and good service.In this restaurant, you order at the counter and then sit down and a server will bring your food and you can order additional items from the server. we started off with the hush puppies which were good in size and flavor (different than ones from new orleans but still good) and we also got a side salad and a cheese willie burger with onion rings. the side salad was basic but a good portion size with decent lettuce and toppings. the burger was outstanding with good size and good flavor (tasted fresh) and the onion rings were really good. only disappointment was the cocktail sauce which tasted like bad ketchupoverall good food, good portion sizes and good service (a bit loud music for lunch)“

However, it took forever to even get water brought to the table and this was literally the theme of the entire dining experience - service was extremely slow the entire night. Our server was sweet but just overwhelmingly slow. I know they had a wedding party there so perhaps that was part of the problem and not typical.We started with the Taste of the Wild, which had antelope, venison and I believe bison? All of the meat was terrific, so I opted to get antelope for my entree and requested medium rare. Unfortunately, what they brought me was medium well, and since I am not one to send food back (and they took forever to begin with) I just sucked it up and ate it. I will say the grits were pretty tasty. My husband got the filet and he said it was ok. Our friends got the trout, which she said was good, and he got the elk, which he said was ok but not as good as the sampler of antelope.The Texas Old Fashioned was a definite winner, and I am glad I got that. Overall, the meal was ok but I can honestly say I will not be back.“

“Great food and service ? for 4 adults, 2 teens, and 1 toddler, I spent over $160, which means on average spent over $22 per individual. This is a step below fine dining but is certainly steep considering the area. We ordered one entree and one drink per individual and we shared the brownie a la mode dessert. The beyond burger tasted exactly like the one you can make if you buy the patties yourself, btw. Still I enjoyed it, but the brownie and strawberry lemonade were far too sweet. I did not mind the lemonade since I had a Topo Chico I could dilute it with and refills for soda and lemonade were not charged.Would recommend if you want to have dogs with you, although we didn't see any that day. Also the ambience inside is spacious and bright.“

“Hughie’s has been one of our favorite neighborhood places to eat since they first opened. The food and service is consistently top notch and speedy to boot. The last time we visited there was a mixup and we paid another tables tab which doubled our bill. I didn’t catch it as we were in a hurry to get the kids home and to bed. When I realized what had happened, I went back up there expecting to have to explain myself. They had already realized the mistake and corrected our bill. The manager and our server were also apologetic for something that honestly was as much my fault for not catching as it was there’s. So add integrity to the list of great attributes to this place! If I had any suggestions it would be for them to add more non alcoholic options to their excellent beer selections for those that don’t or can’t drink. Other than that, I’ve got nothing!Parking: Parking can be a bit tight at their busiest times but we are always able to find a spot.Kid-friendliness: We bring our kids here often as they have good, inexpensive options for them and are very kid friendly.“

I ordered the 3 meat plate, sausage, brisket , and chicken baked potato and a salad. The meat portion is enough. It’s not too much or too little. The brisket was tender, the chicken moist. Each person that took care of us was very knowledgeable about the menu and were quick with helpful and informed advice on wine pairings and other details. This is common enough in many high-performance restaurants, but what isn't, is that they returned afterwards to ask our opinion and make sure their recommendations hit the mark.We started with the charcuterie board, which was very thoughtfully put together and accented by excellent house-made pickles and preserves and mustard. We followed that with the Cataplana Mussels, which my wife absolutely ADORED, and Le Cochon ("the pig") which was probably some of the best pork I have ever eaten (and anyone who knows me will tell you that this is high praise from me!)It was a very busy Saturday night, and the kitchen was short-staffed. “I always enjoyed Flying Biscuit when I lived in Atlanta. So I was super excited when I found out they were in the Houston market. And yesterday, my mom and I dropped in on our way home from the airport. Janet greeted and seated us. She brings so much good energy to the front door. Our server was sweet and the food was perfectly prepared. We both had scrambles that were both well sized and delicious - veggie and vegan. My mom added a side of bacon - which she commented was great. Of course the biscuits and grits are worth the visit on their own, but we added the fried green tomatoes too. I loved the topping combination...but they were good without as well (which my mom chose). I am just hoping that they consider opening a location further west on I-10...maybe near the Buc-ee's.
