“As a customer to their restaurant before we already knew how amazing their food was and knew it would be a big hit at our wedding because of their reputation for it! Communication with Jeff, the owner, was always great, even with the several menu changes I made, he was super accommodating! The day of we hit a small snag, and some of the food was not delivered on time but they were VERY quick to fix the problem and had the rest of it delivered as fast as possible. The catering manager Tammy was also so kind and easy to communicate with. I realize things happen and I am not faulting them at all for the mixup with the food, because let me tell you, it was and always will be worth the wait! Guests who have never had Mel’s were RAVING about the food and guests that have had it before were so pleased! Everything tasted amazing and I’m so thankful we used them! The chicken fried steak and chicken Vera Cruz - chefs kiss! Highly recommend them for your catering needs!!“

“Not only are the dishes home made tasting but I had dropped my mom to go box on the floor and they came back with a fresh cooked one. The waitress said well she hardly ate any of it. Where can you get that kind of service?? Definitely recommend this restaurant. Service was not slow.“

“I have really been looking forward to going to this restaurant but after reading December reviews it appears something happened during that month and I think I'll wait to see reviews from January before I decide. I love the ambiance of the place the fact that it's small and cozy and the menu appealed it to me but if the execution, service and availability is not there then what fronted out as an excellent experience leaves a bad taste on the end. I really hope to read that things have turned around since your last reviews. And do bear in mind that I know that people might complain for reasons that have nothing to do with the restaurant however that being said if they took the time to post it on the site I'm going to keep it in my mind until I read differently. “My first visit to Craft Grill impressed me! My daughter had recommended it so I took her there for an early dinner. Because the weather was good, we dined outside. I tried the shrimp and grits to compare it to what I make myself at home. It was an interesting change using gouda instead of cheddar which gives it a very different flavor that I found good. Their appetizer, a mixed sampler, was also quite good.
Overall, I was quite impressed and look forward to trying something else the next time I go there. BTW, the wait staff was also very helpful even considering he had had to deal with a food allergy reaction at another table he was serving.“
