This restaurant is in the Tremont House Hotel. Had a flatbread and two glasses of wine. Got very nice service and reasonable prices (although possibly on the higher side for Galveston). We enjoyed the food. Also, the wine picks were curated, and although they weren't the standard picks, I could tell that someone was thoughtful about what wines were being served. Also had breakfast here. The food was freshly prepared and tasty as expected. Will definitely return.
Usually food is just fine here, with a pleasant quiet setting and attentive service. But today, I tried the caprese panini. Unfortunately it should have been called a pesto sandwich as there was a thicker layer of oily basil than there was of tomato or mozzarella. To be fair, I misinterpreted the servers warning of “do you like pesto?” Sure, everyone likes pesto, but no one expects it as a main dish.

This is the small restaurant inside the Tremont. Upgraded from the Starbucks cafe which used to be there. Twice we’ve had the wild mushroom flatbread pizza and we love it. $19 well spent! Rebecca was friendly and efficient and our pizza was fresh and delicious! No pix, we are it too fast. We turn on our oven to 350, bring it home, eat two slices while we keep the rest warm after turning the oven off.
