“From time to time, I'll stop at this new location that opened some time ago. Their donuts are so fresh, soft, and moist when they are straight out of the bake oven. I've been lucky to have this a few times, but either way, anything you select from their donut display is great! I'm a huge fan of the new Cronuts they started baking. I believe it's a croissant made into a donut, and I love it. There are so many layers of a soft puffy donut with glazed layers. And the donut holes... arghhhh ?... “Midlothian isn't exactly a donut haven, but there is a handful of donut options in town and I happen to think Donut King might be among the best in the vicinity. During my NYC exodus, it was Donut King that provided me sweet sustenance while I waited for the situation to get better. (#1)They offer drive-thru, which is convenient (#2) and utilized often by locals in the area. The selection is simple, with just a handful of donuts, sausage rolls(#3), sandwiches, and drinks. I appreciate the staff was quick in arranging boxes by the dozen and were friendly on top of it.Their regular glazed are excellent. They're airy with just enough bite and perfectly sweet. The eclairs and apple fritters deserve praise and their cake donuts are practically better than the yeast ones. I think their blueberry and cinnamon were near perfect and wonderfully fresh in the morning. The kolaches, in particular the bacon jumbo and ham + cheese are good and I love that they also have breakfast sandwiches as well.They have a credit card minimum for credit cards at $4. Donuts run out all throughout the day, so I would recommend calling ahead of time to confirm donut availability. “Donuts are big business in Midlothian and as one of the true local spots in town, these namesake donuts are well established. Despite the corner location within a strip of businesses, Midlothian Donuts is still somewhat easy to miss. They're a tiny establishment, but have lots to offer. For starters, they have a drive-thru. This is most popular during the mornings for folks on the go (#1) but there's also a steady stream of locals dining inside on any given day. The small'ish tables are best suited for solo dining action and is not conducive to large groups. In terms of donuts, there's a good classic mix here. The blueberry cake donut is one of their better ones and the glazed is pretty decent as well. Donut holes aren't too memorable, but they're usually generous enough to sprinkle them throughout each order. They're also a true bakery that goes beyond donuts. They have kolaches (#2), croissants, muffins, sandwiches, breakfast burritos and biscuits. The latter is one of their biggest hits: biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are pillowy soft and the gravy is as savory as it is indulgent. The breakfast sausage sandwich is simple, but good. I still have yet to try their breakfast burritos but that's next on my list. Like most local donut spots, they're closed by noon. “Yo! I don't have donuts often but I was told about these blueberry donuts over 3 years ago and finally stopped to check them out. They did not disappoint! All the donuts I tried here are delicious, donut holes, mini fritters, glazed and the blueberry donuts. They are so light, fluffy and fresh.
