“We stopped in for lunch and split a Smash Burger. It was delicious and the portion was plenty for us! Our server did a great job of making sure we were satisfied. The place doesn't look like anything special, but don't judge a book by it's cover. The road construction didn't help with the matter. Inside is very spacious and clean with a huge bar.”

“Food is GREAT. My favorite is the chicken dinner. The cheeseburgers are old school, nothing fancy, just fresh tasting! Their ocean waters are perfectly made with limes, doesn't taste like syrup. The staff is great. They always get my order right and I'm greeted with a smile & cheery voice. They remember their customers and I love that. Being addressed by name just makes your food taste that much better. ❤️
Plenty of parking space, even for semi trucks! Variety of food to pick from and awesome combos. There's a couple of tables out there, too.

“First time eating at Rusty Pit! Had the chopped brisket sandwich and almost every side they had available. Everything was amazing. I don’t know how I’m gonna go back to work and stay awake. Definitely be back with the family. Highly recommended!”

“we have frequently ordered out from them however I refuse to give them any more buisness as of today, we have never had any issues in the past . my husband paid 40 dollars for a taco tray , and upon opening the tray I noticed my chorizo tacos where burnt. to the point I couldn't even attempt to feed them to my dog. Im not sure if that was given to me on purpose because when I went to pay for my food I was commenting to the cashier about the large significant price increase and asked if I could receive my receipt so that I could verify the charges .I understand prices are going up because of whats going on , however the original taco tray typically comes with rice and beans, I was aware that because they where operating out of a taco truck I wouldnt receive that and I was ok , I just was not informed of the significant price increase that was a larger amount.The cashier had a attitude about it and scoffed and wrote me a receipt that read 40$ taco tray. I was already upset , so to go home and see that some of the tacos where severely burnt really upset me . I personally texted the owner and expressed to the owner that its not fair to work hard and pay for a service to feed your family and half of the food is charred. as of today I will no longer patronize this poor excuse of an establishment. I never got a response back and that speaks volumes about the owner . If you desire attitude and burnt piss poor quality then Tacos El primo on college street is the jackpot. attached are pictures of one of the burnt tacos and a screenshot showing that I reached out to show them the quality of food , In no way shape or form was I disrespectful or using any type of profanity in my text although I was upset, never got a response back .”

“Well... First time here, in fact in town, was looking for breakfast and found this restaurant. Must say, customer service is great and food, delicious. Burritos are packed !.. huevos rancheros are well served, forgot to take picture of plate. They also serve tamales, I didnt order, cause im on a diet!. Haha, just kidding. Stop by if youre in Hereford, Tx., You wont regret it!!”

“The restaurant is clean and serves authentic Mexican food. Kitchen-made tortillas are perfect. A very tasty salsa was served with chips. A little Spanish is helpful here, although the owner speaks good English. I ordered Chile Rojo and my wife ordered a tostada. The food was very good. As to the Chile Rojo, it is made with red chili peppers in it. If you eat only the beef and sauce, it is tasty and flavorful. If you eat some of the peppers along with the meat, it is a little picante, which suits me fine. The service was very good, and, although the waitress did not speak much English, we were able to communicate with my limited Spanish. She got the order just right. We will eat there again.”

“Drove in from Amarillo looking for a good coffee spot and this was it!! I tried “The Vaquero”. I usually do brown sugar and vanilla coffee. It was AMAZING. 🙌🏽 I added cold foam and it made that much more amazing. The environment was welcoming and the staff were so friendly. Trips to Hereford may happen more just for this. 🤪”

“Their concha’s are the biggest, flufffiest, best tasting ones I have had. Their maranitos were good as well. I went almost at closing and they still had a good selection.”

They have tasty pan blanco/bolillo white bread, great for making sandwiches like tortas, pambazos, or molletes. The pan dulce/sweet bread is delicious, especially the conchas. They also sell menudo and barbacoa on the weekends.”

“Living in South Texas livers and gizzards are impossible to come across.
While I was in the area I decided to stop at chicken express and boy did they come thru!

The best livers and gizzards I have ever tasted. Then add the side of okra and gravy and it’s a meal that cannot be beat.

Drink and all under $20 and they have a tender special for less than $10.

Restaurant is spotless.
While I was there I happen to meet the owner who is just as friendly as can be.

Highly recommend if you are in Hereford and need a quick, high quality, affordable meal.

“Haven’t had golden chick in years as there is no longer a location in Lubbock, the size of the tenders were on the smaller side but they were seasoned perfectly! I really liked the flavor and the mashed potatoes and gravy were a nice compliment to them! The staff was great and very nice. Overall great experience”
