“We love this restaurant. It’s been a Highlands staple for longer than I’ve been around. Portion sizes are awesome Carla and her crew are wonderful. Dad eats there quite often and don’t sleep on the fish special. The fish nuggets are amazing and the perfect way to enjoy this type of fish. :)“

“I highly recommend this Café. I ordered to go as I’m leaving state after breakfast, but the girl that helped me carry my drinks out was super sweet. Not being from Texas I was curious about everything on the land and she was very informative (I should’ve gotten her name). I ordered the Sycamore 2s which was 2 pancakes (choice of 1/2 waffle or 2 slices French toast), 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon (choice of sausage also). I got my son an order of French toast, and a friend the brunch burger. Everything was AMAZING. The server mentioned Mondays they have a mimosa special (she told me exactly but I forget it). I like over medium eggs and this is the first place I’ve been that’s gotten my eggs PERFECT the first time around. It’s an adorable little café and there’s a wedding venue in the back. I highly recommend trying their food if you haven’t before. I took photos but it won’t let me add them to my review.“

“We order from here a lot and we love the food! However, the last few times we have ordered from here they have forgot something from our order! One time it was the fries, one time it was the onion rings and this time it was our drinks! I’m all for giving second chances but, when you order delivery and they forget to put drinks in your order and tell you to come and get it! I don’t think that is the right response to make it right! So, I called to ask about our drinks and she said she would talk to the manager and call us back! Have not heard anything! Trying to support local but sometimes it can be hard! Feeling disappointed! ☹️“

The burger is massive, CRINKLE CUT FRIES (the best!!), and a Pay It Forward Wall. ♥️ THIS is true Christianity…feeding people without question, just because they’re hungry. Teresa is a gem and it’s worth the drive down by the bridge. Absolutely delicious and the burger is MASSIVE. $43 for two burger & fries meals, two bottled drinks, and an extra cheeseburger/fries to Pay It Forward for someone who needs it. “Our meal was great at Black Bear Diner tonight!! Jasmine was wonderful and checked on us consistently to make sure we had everything we needed even though they were very busy! The pot roast melt is tremendous! And the biscuits are gigantic and so delicious!! Definitely recommend for a great comfort food dinner!“

“We came looking for authentic Mexican barbacoa at Frida Farm Campestre, but due to some regulations they’re currently not serving food at the farm. Instead, the food is sold just around the corner at Birrieria & Micheladas and it was absolutely worth it.

The lamb barbacoa was very delicious, tasty, and perfectly moist. The goat birria tacos were also amazing and their fresh drinks are huge.

After eating, we went back to the farm for a tour, which made the whole experience even better. Visiting both locations was totally worth it and made for a great, unique outing.“

“Went online and ordered for curb side pickup. I received a phone call from a very nice lady at Applebee's letting me know that my tacos would not include coleslaw due to a recall. This type of communication and customer service does not exist outside of this small town Applebee's. Any other person would have left it off without telling the customer, and I would have assumed they messed up. Very impressive, will continue spending money there.“

The food was top-notch, and the service was fast and friendly. My diet Pepsi glass was always full. A business associate brought me here. I would have never found the place on my own. The dining room was clean, wide open with plenty of space, and provided a beautiful view of a golf course.“

However the reviews that mention that they don’t warm up the kolaches, or even offer to warm them, are true. This has always been disappointing to me. “Waiter in training had a good sense of humor and did well. A water stream leaked from the AC until my husband and on his food and chair.
The manager was considerate in prepping another meal for my husband a day at least comp his meal.“

“We held my husband’s birthday here at TO 3 last weekend and the staff was so accommodating for a large group of 20. Our waitress Kathy was so sweet and so tentative. Our whole group had a really good time and enjoyed the food. They also had clear walls up and heaters around the patio so you could still enjoy the outside views. 10/10 👌“
