Confucius Seafood Restaurant is a well-known spot in the Chinatown area, famous for its wide selection of lunch specials, including the popular shrimp fried egg and onion chicken. The restaurant offers enormous food portions, and many dishes are very flavorful. Recent reviews highlight their bold-flavored seafood with very fresh ingredients, such as black pepper lobster, crispy shrimp balls, crispy smelt fishes with spicy salt, and steamed jade tofu with king mushrooms, all of which were delicious. The restaurant is renowned for its Chinese style seafood dishes, including lobsters, crabs, shrimp, clams, and more, with a wide variety of options that are expertly prepared and absolutely tasty. The decor is simple but cozy, and service is typically fast. Customers often enjoy the fried shrimp with pecans and house rice, which sometimes leads to leftovers. The crab meat soup with asparagus can be a bit watery and bland, but overall, the food is very good. The staff is friendly and attentive when not too busy, ensuring guests feel well taken care of. During peak hours, getting attention can be more difficult, and the restaurant can be crowded, especially on weekends. An automatic 18% tip is added to bills, which may make some customers uncomfortable if the service does not always seem to match the gratuity. For those seeking authentic Chinese seafood at reasonable prices, Confucius Seafood Restaurant is a popular choice.
