Brasserie 19 is a charming and elegant French restaurant with a delightful ambiance, offering an overall enjoyable dining experience. The attentive staff provide good service, though some guests felt it was rushed and not very sincere. The restaurant features a menu with fresh ingredients and memorable dishes like deviled eggs, caviar and chips, yellowfin tuna tartar, yellowtail crudo, sakura pork chop, and roasted duck breast. Some visitors enjoyed the escargot and found the food tasty, while others thought certain dishes, like the Caesar salad, were underdressed, and the eggs Benedict Florentine on tomato was not as clever as it could be. The wine list can be confusing to read, with different wines listed separately, and the bathroom facilities are currently outside and require going to the back parking lot, which can be inconvenient. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere, and when the air conditioning is on, it is comfortable. The space is lively and can be busy, sometimes making it hard to hear, but it remains a neighborhood favorite for both casual and business lunches. On Saturday afternoons, a fabulous DJ adds to the vibrant atmosphere, making Brasserie 19 a popular spot to visit in Houston.
