“My sister amd I decided to try House of Bowls on a whim. The menu is very daunting and long, but the waitstaff was super helpful in choosing items.
The portions were large amd made great leftovers the next day for breakfast. The flavors were strong amd delicious.
There are rice bowls and noodle bowls. You can also get soups and specials. I can't say enough good things about House of Bowls.
As a side note, I loved the fish appetizer.“

“The BBQ Pork might be my favorite dish in Houston. Simply incredible. They also have some kind of bok choy or broccoli asparagus that is simply incredible. You get great portions and I usually have to add something just to reach the credit card minimum because its so inexpensive. Their other proteins are great too but that BBQ pork is elite.“

“We went to Fung's Kitchen tonight. The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the decor was lovely. It was our first visit since the fire. It is definitely back on our list of favorite restaurants.“

“First time here and the staff was super sweet and welcoming! Our server gave great recommendations and we loved everything we had! Best salt and pepper wings ever! We loved both the egg drop soup and the wonton soup, and it's a big portion even though we ordered the small size. In general their portions are huge for the price ! We will definitely be returning soon! The spicy beef fried rice isn't actually spicy, so they bring out a chili oil sauce on the side, and the beef and vegetables has a delicious sauce and a good variety of vegetables.“

UPDATE: We came for dim sum. It was another good experience. The food was fresh and delicious. The push carts are a nice touch as they no longer exist where we live. We needed food for a family party and ordered a number of dishes from Ocean Palace. This restaurant was recommended by relatives who live in the area. Overall, we were happy with the dishes we ordered. The portions were decent, and the food had good flavor. Considering we order catering-style trays of food, it was pretty fresh and tasty. The Salt and Pepper Tofu was still somewhat crispy, which is hard to maintain when it traveled in a covered container. The sale and pepper flavors were good. The spice was just right. The Fried Shrimp with Walnut in Mayonnaise Sauce was very crispy, yet still tendered. They were not overcooked. We appreciated that the sauce was kept separately to maintain the crunch of the fried shrimp. The Salt and Pepper Fish Filet was crispy and moist. The fish was cooked just right. The salt and pepper flavors came through well. The Special Fried Rice was decent and consistent with other fried rice from any other chinese restaurant. The Sauteed Clams in Black Bean Sauce was fresh and delicious. The Fried Lobster in Salt and Pepper Seasoning was not overcooked. The lobster meat was good, and the flavors were impactful. The Fried Dungeness Crab in Dry Garlic was another nice flavor and different enough than salt and pepper that others enjoyed as well. Finally, the Rice Noodle with Beef and Chinese Broccoli was delicious and a personal favorite of mine. I appreciated a separate container of sauce, and they were generous with the sauce. I always find that most restaurants keep the sauce to a minimum. This place is better, and I was able to fully enjoy the rice noodle swimming in the sauce. The beef was decent, and each piece I had was very tender. We really enjoyed the dishes from“

“Don't pass this restaurant up if you're looking for some of the best Chinese food in Texas!
Check out all my reviews — with over 35 Chinese restaurants reviewed in the area, I can confidently say this spot has the best overall food.
Where to start?
Atmosphere: The setting is nice, though it doesn’t feel as upscale as some other places.
Service: Fantastic across the board! Our waters were always full, and we never had to worry about running out of rice.
Food: This is where Lucky Bento truly shines. Due to a small language barrier, we accidentally ordered four dishes instead of three — which is already a lot for two people — but we had no regrets!
Sweet and Sour Chicken: Potentially the best we've ever had. Extra crispy with a honey glaze, perfectly cooked chicken, and some glutinous rice balls (at least that’s what they seemed like) — crunchy, chewy, and absolutely delicious.
Spicy Stir-Fried Lamb: The spice was incredibly fresh! I could have eaten this dish all night.
Sichuan Crispy Chicken (Peppercorn Chicken): I’ve tried this dish at over 20 restaurants, and while Mala Sichuan (in the same complex) had been my favorite, Lucky Bento might have the new secret to the best version. Perfectly sized, extra-crispy chicken pieces with tender centers — plus ruffled sweet potato fries mixed in! So good.
Shanghai Sweet and Sour Ribs: Simply delicious.
It's very rare to visit a restaurant and have four dishes that could each be a top-10 contender compared to over 100+ dishes I've tried across 35+ Chinese restaurants. Lucky Bento is an absolute gem!“

“Always on the hunt for the best chinese restauarant in Houston. We didn't want to miss out on the Lucky Dragon. Although our server did not speak English, we were able to identify some tasty dishes. We ordered the Honey Sauce Shrot Ribs and the Sizzling Beef. Both of these dishes were fantastic and highly recommended. Portions were decent size but you will definitely want to order one dish per person at the table. They brought out a good initial portion of rice and refilled it when needed. Enjoyed the authentic homestyle experience.
P.s.- They brought out forks but they were kind enough to bring chopsticks upon request.“

“One of the older Cantonese restaurant in Houston where the price is still fair and big portion, you will feel like home here. The steamed flounder fish was really good, the snow pea leafs was good also. No thrill and no frill Chinese restaurant.“
