Casa de Leon is a very authentic Mexican restaurant with friendly servers and great chips and salsa. The place is clean with good prices and attentive staff, offering a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere perfect for a meal, especially breakfast. This is a favorite spot for many in Houston.
My recent visit to Casa de Leon was absolutely delightful, and I left feeling completely satisfied. It's clear they pride themselves on serving authentic, flavorful dishes with a generous hand. My mom ordered the Caldo de Res, and it was fantastic – rich, hearty, and packed with tender beef and fresh vegetables. I opted for the Carne Guisada, and it was equally impressive; the meat was incredibly tender, and the gravy was perfectly seasoned. Both dishes were very well served and truly delicious!
A definite bonus was that we both had leftovers, which speaks volumes about their portion sizes. It's rare to find such quality and quantity. Casa de Leon offers a wonderful dining experience with truly authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for fantastic Mexican food that will leave you happy and with a little extra for later, this is definitely the place to go!
