🤩 friendliest staff ever coupled with good food and the best sopa de pollo
this place has gone downhill far as customer service goes. After receiving drinks wife said give a minute and 2 minutes later ready to order. 10 minutes later someone else shows up, asked about the UTRGV 10% discount after a phone call nope. Decided to leave, there's a reason it was empty. Used to eat there often

Based on the reviews, El Jardín Restaurant is a gem with amazing food and great service. The atmosphere and looks are wonderful. Meals like street tacos and menudo are so good they can touch the soul, with the menudo tasting like a mother used to cook. Food is delicious with great-sized portions and large portions for a lunch plate. A highlight is getting queso with chips and salsa. The staff is attentive but not intrusive, and they can guess regulars' orders. The drinks menu is good. Parking can be tough on a busy night, but there are two lots and street options. It is a great local restaurant with lots of variety, where customers have been coming for 40+ years and will always return.
