Frank's Grill Reviews
Franks Grill on Telephone Road opened in 1963 by my neighbors Frank and Bertha Mae Jones of Glenbrook Valley, Houston. I washed dishes on opening day and my mother "Pipsy" was the cashier. Frank greeted every customer personally with a smile. Bertha Mae baked the best homemade pies in the world, all from scratch. For breakfast you got a half a plate of hashbrowns with 2 sausage patties and 2 eggs. Add coffee all for under $3 Dollars. I ate there most of my life and is still...read full review

Frank's Grill is a popular breakfast and brunch spot known for its delicious and fresh offerings. The restaurant has a good crowd and attentive waitstaff, with food that takes a bit of time but is worth the wait. The bacon is described as "legit," and the fresh fruit is a standout. The hashbrowns, while not crispy as expected, have a soft and baked potato-like texture that is surprisingly enjoyable. Vegetarian options are available, and the Chicken and Waffle as well as the South of the Border Skillet are highly recommended dishes. The atmosphere is great and chill, with plenty of parking and friendly service. Customers appreciate the good quality of food, including Heuvos Rancheros and Breakfast Special, though some mention that hash browns tend to come out a little underdone and request crispy or well-done. The restaurant can be busy, especially on special days like Mother’s Day, which may lead to longer waits, but the waitstaff remains very nice. Many customers plan to return and recommend the place to others. Some wish they opened earlier to accommodate more breakfast lovers.
