10/10! This is our FAVORITE SPOT!!!
Wow, wow, wow! Last night, my wife, friend, and I visited Hi Trendy Dumplings in the Heights for the first time. The food was absolutely divine! The service was on point. Our meal was possibly the best Asian food we've ever had in Houston. From their freshly prepared soup dumplings to their homemade noodle dishes (soups and stir fries), to the unique appetizers, our taste buds were treated to a symphony of Asian flavors and favorites, each with a unique twist. We love the original location, so it only made sense that we had to try this new Heights location with an updated menu. We came with some friends which gave us the opportunity to try new dishes and our tried and true favorites.

Hi Trendy Dumpling offers a variety of delicious dishes with generous portions, perfect for sharing. Their pan-fried dumplings, shumai, and beef fried rice are must-try items. The menu also features steam vegetable dumplings, a great option for vegetarians. The hot and sour soup, Singapore noodle with beef, chicken, and shrimp, and the spicy boiled beef are highly recommended and consistently good. The restaurant's soup dumplings have good dough thickness and tasty broth, and all stir fry dishes are flavorful, though some may find them a bit salty. Customers especially enjoy the chili oil dumplings, which are a must, and the beef flat noodles, which are very yummy and enough to share among 2-3 people. The spicy boiled fish is a standout dish, with light, flavorful fish and veggies in a super spicy broth that many find addictive, prompting repeat visits. The dessert options, like the bubble egg waffle with ice cream, are not very sweet and provide a nice finish. The service is prompt and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that features a kitchen viewing window and a beautiful mural. The restaurant serves a range of drinks, including Thai tea with Boba and refreshing Grapefruit drinks. Customers also note that the restrooms need updating, as they are old, have outdated decor, and smell. With quick service and flavorful dishes, Hi Trendy Dumpling is a popular spot for dine-in, takeout, or delivery, appreciated for its cleanliness, fresh food, and fast, accurate service. Parking is convenient due to its location in a large complex on Yale with many nearby businesses.
