We love this restaurant so much we drive an hour for the great food!!
Visited House of Pies on Westheimer—cozy, retro diner with a 1967 charm. Booths, vintage decor, and a friendly, bustling atmosphere. Brunch was lively, but staff (like Rosie) were efficient and welcoming. Generous portions of classic comfort food—omelets, burgers—with pies as the real star (try the chocolate cream!). Food was HEAVENLY! The lattes taste like spoiled milk. I asked 3x for the mocha latte on their menu and the waitress appeared frazzled (been there girl) but ended insisting on a regular latte. I had a long drive ahead of me so I agreed since the first one stayed down I figured it would be a couple of days til I felt the side effects if it was bad milk.
I would have opted for plant milk instead but that's not an option. Just be aware.
