First time trying this place based on an article I saw from Eatery and it did not disappoint! It was so satisfying that I decided to write this 5 star review right away. I got the banh mi thit nuong (bbq pork baguette) and the seasoning was just right with a slight buttery taste on the baguette. The baguette was soft and fluffy yet still maintained a little crispiness on the outside but not to where it will injure the upper roof of your mouth. Anyway the banh mi thit nuong reminds...read full review
I’m SOOOO obsessed with this mom & pop banh mi shop. Bread is so soft & the meats are so well marinated! They always have specials going on thru-out the week which is so convenient and the owners are so kind. Please come and check this place out if you have a LOVE for banh-mis like I do. They also serve bánh bột chiên, gà chiên, bò né, AND tapioca drinks if you would like something else.

Khang Vietnamese Sandwich & Cafe is a small, clean hole in the wall place where customers can see into the kitchen. The service is fast and the staff are very friendly, super understanding and nice. The food is fresh, tasty, and delicious. The bread is so good, fresh, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and is the most crispy and soft out of virtually 14 places. Great banh mi has the right amount of ingredients. The butter and pate taste perfect with the Gio Bo (fatty pork) along with pickled carrots, cilantro and fresh jalapeño. Specific meals mentioned include banh mi Khang, banh mi Thap Cam, the number 4 (beef), number 13 (chicken), number 18 (egg roll), and the combination banh mi. The egg rolls were so hot customers had to wait to eat. The Pomelo Taro dessert is a lightly sweet, fragrant concoction of sweet rice, pomelo, fresh taro and coconut milk. Customers highly recommend it, calling it the best Banh Mi in Houston and a hidden gem.
