Kim Sơn Reviews
We had a positive experience working with Kim Son for our wedding! Their events staff was great—when we raised issues, they acted quickly and sought out solutions. While communication was occasionally a bit slow, reaching out directly to the main restaurant helped everything move more smoothly.
The food turned out amazing—exactly what we were hoping for and our guests loved it! The tasting, while a bit pricey, did help us narrow down our menu choices. We also appreciated...read full review

Kim Sơn offers a wide variety of Vietnamese and Asian dishes. The beef pho has good flavor, and the dim sum is delightful, allowing customers to add condiments like chili oil and vinegar to their liking. The restaurant also features a Saigon Street food station where guests can make their own lettuce wraps. The wait staff is excellent, keeping the table clear and providing refills promptly. The restaurant is praised for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine and special holiday offerings.
Recently, a Vietnamese tennis coach who enjoys eating, drinking, and having fun discovered many delicious dishes at this renowned buffet restaurant in the Southeast Asian community in Houston. The buffet here has everything: stir-fried crab, grilled oysters, clams, snails, grilled meat, steamed fish, roast pork, spicy and sour pig ears, chicken feet, and plenty of choices. The buffet is divided into four areas: a stir-fry station, a Saigon street food station, a noodle station, and a Southeast Asian dessert station. Customers must try the #8 noodle dish at the noodle station. All the desserts are worth trying, and the seafood is very fresh and delicious. The thick noodles with coconut cream are a favorite, reminding many of Thailand.
Recently, visitors have shared their experiences. One noted that the oysters were gritty and not good, but the selection of snails and mussels was good, and the desserts were awesome. Another mentioned that it was refreshing to find a buffet mainly serving Vietnamese food, with a wide variety of noodle soup, street food, dim sum, and classic dishes. The desserts and dim sum sections stood out, and the food was generally decent for a buffet. The restaurant has dedicated servers who plate food instead of customers getting it themselves, which helps with cleanliness. A customer also praised the staff, especially a server named My Ngoc H, describing her as very friendly, attentive, and professional, making the dining experience enjoyable. Overall, Kim Sơn continues to be appreciated for its authentic dishes, friendly service, and cleanliness.
