“My husband and I and our two children visited this Yemeni restaurant today, we are Palestinian and have never tried Yemeni food, we wanted to try something new and we were not disappointed. My husband ordered the grilled fish and it was the star, it was delicious! I had the Mandi chicken and it was so flavorful and tender. The Mandi rice was very good, especially with the tomato sauce and yogurt sauce. They had chicken nuggets and French fries for the kids. We also had the fattoush which I felt was lacking but not bad, it was fresh. Hummus was very good. My favorite part was the complimentary tea, very tasty. Our host and waiter was genuinely kind and attentive.“

The food is amazing. Genuinely hot, fresh and exceptionally flavorful. The portions are no joke either, for the price you pay you will be given a plate that is more than reasonable. Extra so if I must say.
The meals feel and taste home-cooked, like mom put something together for me after a long day.
Coming here I feel like I'm being fed rather than just coming to eat.

The staff are upmost kind, pleasant and genuine, the dining area is also clean and tidy. But do keep in mind this is a family owned establishment.

I highly recommend the mixed grill and the beef shawarma tawouk sandwich. They’re also a butcher, so I often pick up their frozen burgers and tenders to make at home perfect for days I don’t feel like cooking. One thing they could improve on is their extra sauce policy; since we come here often and usually order a lot, it would be nice if they were more generous with sauce instead of charging for extras. “Droubi's is the oldest Mediterranean place in houston from the 70's. I've been a customer since middle school & I am 42 today. It's Delicious, Authentic, & ALWAYS Affordable! Over 50 years and the same gentleman that owns Droubi's still runs it with his wife. Hats off & respect to both of them.“
