Located in the area for years, Osaka is an underrated spot that feels like a 4.5-4.8 star place. The restaurant offers a relaxing vibe with attentive staff and impeccable service. The older man serving is sweet and attentive, bringing food out as it is ready. The owners are extremely welcoming and thoughtful, often giving an appetizer to begin with and a small pallet cleanser of ice cream at the end. The food is delicious: the shrimp tempura is light and crispy with a creamy dipping sauce, and the hand rolls are simple, fresh, and generously filled—the standout is the uni and scallop combo, briny, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The salad dressing is the best ever, and the sushi is always fresh. A crunchy seaweed on top of rice with tempura shrimp and veggies is perfect. Sushi rolls like Tokyo and Philadelphia rolls, spicy tuna, yellowfin, and salmon are excellent. The salmon dish with sautéed veggies and white rice is also excellent. This hidden gem has great prices and is completely worth coming to.
