Pinkerton's Barbecue Reviews
Love it....
Went there with my brother. We were welcomed by staff and told us how to proceed. We ordered brisket, with the sides of okra, spinach and Cole slaw...the brisket was so tender and juicy and the taste was just right a mixture of meat and smoke and bark with a beautiful balance between them. This is an excellent place and I wish I was staying in Houston more time to try other meats..
Go and enjoy.

Pinkerton's Barbecue is a highly praised restaurant known for its flavorful and tender Texas-style barbecue. The brisket is a standout, often described as juicy, tender, and perfectly balanced with a smoky flavor and a nice bark. Customers appreciate the variety of meats available, including beef rib, pork ribs, chicken thighs, and sausage links like jalapeno cheese link and boudin, which are generally juicy and flavorful, though some links may vary in moisture. The beef rib is especially popular, served fall-off-the-bone, and enjoyed with a knife and fork due to its size and richness. Sides such as okra, spinach, cole slaw, macaroni salad, duck jambalaya, and creamed spinach receive positive remarks for their taste, with some dishes being described as sweet or slightly salty. The macaroni salad is likened to potato salad, and the duck jambalaya is noted as good but on the salty side.
The restaurant offers two types of barbecue sauces at each table, both of which complement the meat well, though many find the meat flavorful enough on its own. Customers also enjoy the fried fries cooked in beef tallow and appreciate the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors from different places, including Canada and Galveston, express enthusiasm for the food and the experience, with some taking a tour of the smoke room to meet the smoke master. A highlight for many is the Blueberry Bread Pudding, praised as the best dessert. Overall, Pinkerton's Barbecue combines quality meats, diverse sides, and excellent service, making it a top choice for barbecue lovers.
