Wendy's in Houston

“We recently discovered how fabulous the Wendy's Cob Salad is. My wife usually has the Chick-fil-A cob salad. But the Wendy's Cob Salad is cheaper and has more eggs and more chicken based on what my wife said. I've been a Wendy's Chili lover for almost 50 years. In the late 1970s I even interviewed for a position at a new Wendy's in Houston. They were just coming to Houston then. But having to fill in for absent employees didn't appeal to me as a Manager. But that hasn't stopped me from eating at Wendy's for decades.“

“The breakfast honey ? chicken ? sandwich had a non chicken texture. It was too dense. The honey was minimal but the breakfast fries ? always surpasses any other restaurant serving breakfast fries.

The customer service was great so the visit was worth it and I will go again but I will order something other than the honey chicken combo.“

“I placed an order for an Asiago Ranch Chicken Club combo at the drive-thru. The young man who took my order was very polite. I live about 13 minutes away, and my food was still warm when I arrived home. My chicken sandwich was delicious; not every location prepares it this well, which is why I'm happy to drive a little further.“

“I had order #1104, came here on 11/24/2025, and their service here was pretty cool compared to most places. They went out of their way to suggest a less expensive option that would get me more than what I wanted, awesome people and the manager Martha, super cool lady, would come again“

“I was craving a burger so I went to this Wendy's. I got a baconator and it was delicious. The lady who helped me was super nice. My order was correct and reasonably fast. I tried a new tangerine drink and it was ok - a little more tart than I had expected but otherwise good.“

Didn't need to ask for anything a second time and service from order to table was expeditious.
Clean lobby not an out of order anything. Wholesome laughter and a high moral team feeling.
I'd go every day if I actually lived in the same area.
Totally satisfied with this particular Wendy's.

“I haven’t been to this Wendy’s in forever but ended up going by after McDonald’s left us high and dry. I didn’t get the lady’s name who was working the drive thru last night, Sunday 12.7 but she was absolutely amazing! Kind service and the food was so fresh! I was listening to “Teach me how to Dougie” because I want to learn how to do the dance (I know it’s simple but this white girl ain’t got no rhythm)and my boyfriend asked her if she would teach me. Although hesitant at first, she quickly did the steps. It made our night! Moral of the story, if I want a quick bite to eat I’ll be going to Wendy’s. McDonald’s is now nothing but a memory.
PS this was a very quick interaction and we did not hold up the line. These are the kind of workers you need! They deal with so much so I hope that we at least made her night as much as she made ours. Thank you!“

“Was immediately greeted with a friendly voice who was very patient with me when I asked for some time to think about my order. I'm not sure his name but the handsome brother who spoke spanish gave excellent service and even gave me an estimated time for my order. Top tier service deserves recognition and praise. “I was a bit slow in telling the lady I had pulled up an offer on the app so I received a good scolding only for the offer to not work. The drink machine is always malfunctioning so you get 1 soda from the drive-thru fountain and a refill gers you dirty looks. Food is always fresh though. 249 across from Walmart near “

“I go to Wendy's all the time but I got a Dave's single tonight that was just absolutely delicious. I'm not sure why sometimes the beef is so tasty like that and other times it's kind of just normal or bland, but tonight was absolute perfection!“

“Flight was delayed due to storms and we watched this Wendy's stay open past their time in order to make sure people got food when everything else in the terminal was closed. We hadn't eaten for 7 hours due to being stuck on our flight because of delays and they were the only ones staying open. Big shoutout to the team working the night shift on 8/20/25.“

“Food quality was good per usual trips. Customer service was adequate, they were quick but so quick that they were rushing me as if there was a whole like up of 20 cars behind me. It was early morning and i was the only one in line for a good 7-10 mins until another cust arrived behind me. I could barely put my stuff up before they handed me my items.“

“This Wendy's is at a gas station which is very convenient. Very quite location. It looks like they're cleaning this neighborhood. I've seen this Wendy's stay busy. The staff here is very friendly and always so helpful. They make you feel welcome. I like that. We usually order from the five for five menu. They are quick in service. The location is very clean and they keep it clean. The restroom is connecting to the gas station so you would have to walk out of Wendy's into the other building. But is ok. They keep the restroom clean. Theirs enough parking available. We always look forward to going here.“

“Wendy's is just about the ONLY fast food restaurant I will eat at nowadays. Burgers are pretty good, the nuggets are a big favorite in my family. The fries are totally worth ignoring the carb count. ;) wish they would bring back the Bourbon burger though. Drive thru line always tend to take sooo long, which I can't see why. Speaking as someone who once upon a time worked in fast food, we would take big pride in not having people waiting to order or to receive their order.“

“We went and had breakfast there twice in one week, the breakfast was great delicious or seasoned potatoes are the best I really do recommend they should have it in the lunch menu,, either the cook in the back does not pay attention or she don't have time to go to the back to get the correct bread but it did happen both of the times I had ordered a biscuit with egg and cheese And I got it the English muffin with egg and cheese,, the second time we went my husband asked for the English muffin with egg and cheese and I ordered the biscuit with egg and cheese guess what we got our biscuits egg and cheese at that that day my husband did tell them something they did swap it out but it took a very long time to get it to us,, since it's open that you can view while they're doing your food the food prep was moving super slow,, our issue was resolved they're just little minor things that probably needs to be addressed by the manager or district manager to improve service.“

The team here is efficient overall, but they could improve in two areas:

1. Peak hour management – a bit more attention to order flow and communication would cut down delays.

2. Consistency of service – sometimes the energy at the counter feels rushed, and small details (like making sure sauces/condiments are included) get missed.

Still, they’re dependable, and that counts. A lot of reviews just say “slow” or “bad” without explaining why. I think it’s more useful to say: this Wendy’s usually delivers on food quality, they just need to keep pushing on speed and consistency. With those tweaks, it could easily be a 5-star spot.“

“The young man at the order counter, Jay… (couldn’t get his whole name) is an awesome employee. He’s a people person and very efficient. As I watched him he was taking orders, cleaning and organizing the area and stocking items to ensure things are ready. While the others around nonchalantly worked away. Promoting him to supervisor/manager would be a wise decision for your business.“

“My Venmo Debit card was getting declined at the window so I called them, while I was on the phone with them. The card was still being declined, but the manager brings me my food hands it to me and says that I don't have to pay just pay it forward. So I got to look out for someone in the near future.“

“We usually go to this Wendy's after visiting the Space Center. A little small, but it doesn't get too busy here so eating inside is not too much of a hassle.

It was empty at the time we could, but it was the afternoon and people were coming in from the street to get their free sodas, which motivated the employees to turn off the soda machine. This is good so as not to waste your consumption. As for my food, it was good. They didn't serve it the way I ordered, and they put the cheese on it, but The chili was very tasty, the food was very hot, I also can't get into the bathroom because it was locked and the keys they gave me didn't work, but it's okay, there was no problem, otherwise it was a normal experience. “Today I ordered a baked potatoe with cheese for my side, turns out they were out, and was told they wouldn’t be ready for an hour asked if I wanted something else like apple bites, (i understood pies English was not his first language) lol my bad, I said sure I get my order but, how does this equate to a baked potato with cheese they could have just given me regular fries with cheese and before anyone asks why I didn’t ask, I did ask but he repeated bout the apples so I said sure. So, back to my favorite stores, but first a bite to eat!!! (I stick better to my shopping list when I put something in my tummy... ?).
Most all of the action was at the drive-thru when I arrived, so it was an easy choice to dine-in. Luis greeted me and gave me a few to check out the menu board. Decided to go with Dave's Single Combo and substituted coffee instead of fountain drink. The service was fast and professional and I got fresh brewed coffee delivered to my table as my bonus! Thank you, Luis! Since it was rainy, I chose to stay inside, even though outside seating is available. Light music was playing, so going over my shopping list was a breeze!!!
After enjoying my simple meal visited the ladies room to wash up. It was clean, clean, clean!!! This Wendy's receives a "thumbs up" and 5-star rating!

“I ordered two breakfast meals through the drive thru and the fries were cold. I had to go inside and ask for a fresh batch. They did make them fresh for me which took an extra 2-3 minutes, but I felt like that’s something that the kitchen should be aware of: how long have these been sitting here? Don’t you also need to know expiration dates? How is time under the heat lamp any different? Everyone was nice and friendly and the rest of the meal was delicious.“
