“Fresh food. My family and I ordered the appetizer with all the different items (forgot the name) but it was fresh and everything was so good. The burger was pretty good and shrimp were buttery and seasoned well. They tasted fresh. Overall great experience. We asked to be seated outdoors and our server, Ignacio was very attentive.“

“Don't let the building fool you. (I have rule for food establishments the older it looks the better it is). This place is unbelievable. Bark on the brisket and pulled pork was a perfect balance of seasoning, smoke and natural flavor of meat. I had the brisket, ribs and pulled pork (three meat plate) Brisket was moist and perfect balance of flavor, the ribs fell off the bone as I picked them up off the plate, and yet again perfect balance all the way through, the pulled pork was excellent and again balanced just right. The BBQ sauce was a perfect blend for pork or beef just added that extra level to all the meats. Now to the desserts!!!! The buttermilk pie was excellent not to sweet not to savory, the chocolate cake was like a true home made cake and the pecan pie was devine!!!!! Had to try all three with my family. Kerrville is lucky to have an establishment as good as this place. Well done 5 stars all the way around“

“We had such a great experience at The Lake House in Kerrville! Even though the restaurant was super busy and packed, everything ran smoothly and the atmosphere was still enjoyable.
Our server, Lauren, was absolutely wonderful—so kind, attentive, and on top of everything the entire time. She made sure we had everything we needed and never made us feel rushed despite how busy it was.
It’s not easy to provide that level of service during a rush, but she handled it effortlessly. We will definitely be back and hope to sit in her section again! Highly recommended!“

“Exceptional atmosphere inside and out. Wonderful food. It will be a regular stop. We met a traveler in San Antonio, and she told us about Cate at The Ridge. We drove to Kerville, (25 miles out of our way), to try the Cafe. We have told several people about it. Guess what? They already loved the place. Are we the last to discover this heavenly restaurant? None of the people we mentioned the restaurant to live in Kerrville. They all drive a distance to eat there!“

“Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone was very polite and made you feel at home. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Where I live there are no Taco Casas, but I heard that they are similar to what Taco Bell was forty years ago. Food was awesome. Fresher and higher quality than Taco Bell, and constructed with care. Not haphazzardly thrown together. Tacos and burritos were brimming with ingredients.
